All-New 2014 Audi A3 Saloon Video Reviewed

All Audi’s cars look pretty much the same, and all drive with pretty much the same road-pounding attitude, and none aside from the R8 offer any real tactile feedback through the steering wheel. There’s also no noticeable gap in quality between any of the models in the range, and therefore the new A3 sedan/saloon is an interesting and cheaper alternative to the A4. Read more »

Audi E-Tron Quattro Triumphs at Le Mans [w/Videos]

This year’s edition of the Le Mans 24H race will not necessarily be remembered for the actual racing part, because it has been marred by the tragic death of Aston Martin driver Allan Simonsen, 34. Still, even after the announcement of his passing, the Aston Martin team drove on, eventually taking third place in the GTE Pro class, dedicating their victory to Simonsen who was racing in the GT class. Moron Alert: Nissan GT-R Driver Crashes Right Into a Lexus RX

Yes, it's head-scratching, Russian dash-cam time again and here we have a foolish and impatient driver, who after this incident, shouldn't really be allowed behind the wheel of any car, let alone one of the likes of the Nissan GT-R, for a very long time.

While all other motorists were patiently waiting for the red light, the person driving the tuned Japanese sports car wanted to play smart guy violating a basic road rule that says stay on your side of the road, especially when there's a double line.

New POV Test Drive Puts You Behind the Wheel of an Audi RS5 Cabriolet

When it comes to fast convertibles, there are many to choose from, even if you narrow your search down to a specific price bracket. If you’re in the market for something that could give you a very different (and possibly unwanted) hairstyle, and have about $80,000 to spend, then a four-wheel drive Audi RS5 Cabriolet is not a bad way to go.

We now bring you a POV test drive of the car, which in the usual Winding Road Magazine fashion features no talking whatsoever, so that you can draw your own conclusions.

Drive Asks If a Sleeper Audi S4 Avant is a Better Car than a Slower Porsche Cayman

Chris Harris proved that it is a worthwhile effort to spend a few bucks on an engine remap, especially if the car in question is an Audi S4, powered by a supercharged V6 engine.

Now, featured for the first time on Tuned, alongside usual host Matt Farah, Harris hands over the keys to his German estate over to the much larger built American, while he plays catch-up in a Porsche Cayman, which is not the S, and it is bashed for being too slow.

See How the Vauxhall VXR8 Tourer Stacks Up Against the Audi RS4 Avant

If you live in the UK, you are very fortunate to be able to buy the Vauxhall VXR8 Tourer, which is basically a rebadged version of the HSV-prepped Holden Commodore SS SportWagon. This means it gets a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 408 hp, rear-wheel drive and a manual six-speed gearbox, all with plenty of boot space to carry as many of your possessions as you can throw in. This is the Effect an Audi A1 Quattro has on Road Test Editors

The Audi A1 Quattro is a limited-edition model built in only 333 units that showcases the brand’s engineering expertise and also serves as a tribute to the iconic Audi Quattro. Rare and expensive, the A1 Quattro is basically a pocket rocket that Audi built just to show it could.

The crew from XCar in the UK managed to get their hands on an A1 Quattro for a test drive and were absolutely impressed by it. I mean, who wouldn’t be impressed with an all-wheel drive B-segment premium car that is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine developing 252 bhp?

Audi A8 Driver Throws a Wild Hissy Fit After Minor Accident and Trashes His Own Car!

If this incident, which purportedly happened in Malaga, Spain, is indeed real as claimed and doesn't turn out to be some sort of hoax, then the driver and protagonist of the scene should be considered a prime candidate for the coveted “moron of the year” award.

Why? Well, let's take it from the beginning. The man behind the wheel of the Audi, which we believe to be a front-wheel drive [as pointed out by our readers, it turns out it's a Quattro - see at 3.17 mark] first generation A8 sedan – unless we're mistaken about the size and it's an older A6, is said to have had a minor accident crashing into a metal rail. Accidents like that happen all the time, but what took place after, does not…

Nissan’s GT-R Track vs. Audi’s R8 V10 Plus in MT Test

We recently showed you MotorTrend’s review of the Nissan GT-R with the optional Track Pack fitted, and the conclusions at the end of that test were pretty clear – it is a very serious “supercar killer,” which is immensely competent, but a bit detached and not that fun to drive at regular speeds, needing to be pushed hard to get enjoyment. Audi Launches New Campaign with Inspiring "It Couldn't Be Done" Commercial

Audi is a company known for innovation, and this is the essence of a new series of commercials released by the luxury car manufacturer in the United States. The main ad, called “It Couldn’t Be Done”, tells the story of 100 years of Audi innovation, with the other clips highlighting key elements of the brand's vehicles. Read more »

Harris Pits Audi R8 V10 Plus Against Porsche’s 911 Turbo S and 750 HP Tuned Nissan GT-R

Chris Harris always seems to like comparative tests better than single-car reviews, simply because there is more to talk about, analyze and/or examine. Each of the chosen cars is driven in turn, and at the end, conclusions are drawn.

This time, he has chosen an Audi R8 V10 Plus, a Porsche 997 Turbo S and a Nissan GT-R. However, as he himself admits, just bringing any old GT-R wouldn’t do the competition justice (in terms of price, at least), so what he’s actually brought to the track is a Litchfield-tuned car, which reportedly has around 750 hp, a revised chassis and ceramic brakes.

Audi's TT Undergoes Strict Diet to Become the Ultra Quattro Concept [55 Photos and Video]

Many things have changed over the years for the automobile, but one thing that remains the same is that, if you're looking to create a sports car or a racer that is fast and handles well, the lighter the build, the better – something that Colin Chapman and Lotus knew all too well since the middle of the previous century.

Audi has been a pioneer of sorts in the industry in recent years with the extensive use of aluminum for its cars, but with the new TT Ultra Quattro Concept, the brand with the four rings went one step further cutting a whopping 300 kilograms or a little over 660 pounds over the regular TT S Coupe, upon which it is based.

Audi Lets Us Know the R8 is "Handcrafted" in New Short Video

For some reason, the fact that a car was put together by a human, instead of a machine has always boosted its exclusivity and price, despite the fact that, with the latest precision robots, the same level of attention to detail can be achieved either way. Still, Audi is using this well-known industry fact to boost the appeal of their supercar, the R8. Read more »

OSS Designs and Vossen-Tuned Audi RS5 is One "Pissed-Off Stormtrooper" [w/Videos]

It hasn't been that long since we last heard of an Audi RS5 tune, but looking at what OSS Designs came up with for the German performance coupe, who can blame us for wanting to share this project?

Created with a little help from Vossen Wheels, which described the RS5 Coupe's angry looks as a "pissed off stormtrooper" in a nod to the white-clad elite soldiers of the Galactic Empire [sic] from the Star Wars movies, the Audi features a makeover that starts with the front end and OSS Designs' colorful (literally) LEDs that surround the factory lights.

Asshat Audi R8 Driver is Just Asking to be Rammed by Mazda3

If we told you that, there was a fairly new, and evidently, very expensive Audi R8 sports coupe, and a mainstream Mazda3 on a city road, and that one of the two drivers was provoking the other one, performing dangerous moves, who would you think that would be?

Understandably, most would say that the Audi R8 driver would be the victim and the person behind the wheel of the Mazda3 the perpetrator. Well, if you made those choices, you're wrong because the exact opposite occurred in this incident from St. Petersburg, Russia.

BMW X5 and Audi Racers Cause Huge Accident in Russian Tunnel

Sure, weaving through slower cars while you’re traveling at a much higher speed, can be seen as fun by some, but the small dose of pleasure and adrenaline it generates cannot really begin to match the level of risk you’re exposing yourself and other drivers when acting in such a manner. Like the woman at the beginning of the Need for Speed games says: “Always wear your seat belt, and always obey the laws of the road!”

However, this is exactly what the two drivers in this video don’t do. The one behind the wheel of the BMW X5 (M?) was racing the driver of another fast German car, an Audi estate of some sort (possibly an A6/S6 or A4/S4), through a rather crowed tunnel on the Leningrad highway in Russia.

Iron Man 3 Approves 2014 Audi R8 in New Promo

Just like kids who can't resist wearing an Iron Man's plastic mask, Audi too can't stop associating itself with the Marvel comics superhero and the third film in the Iron Man franchise that will see Tony Stark, played by actor Robert Downey Jr., using a battery-powered R8 e-tron coupe for his casual strolls around town. Firefighters Cut Car to Extinguish Fire, Turns Out Smoke Came from an Auxiliary Heating System...

There’s nothing wrong about being a vigilant citizen and alerting authorities when you think there's a problem. That’s exactly what a woman from Baia Mare, Romania, did when she saw smoke coming out of a parked car’s engine compartment.

Suspecting a fire, she called the firefighters. What she didn’t know was that the old Audi A6 had an…"auxiliary heating system running on fuel" that had been turned on by the owner via a remote control.

Chris Harris Proves the Power of ECU Tweaks with Audi S4 vs RS4 Comparative Test

Software remaps are an extremely popular way to easily increase the horsepower and torque ratings of your car. The operation takes no more than a few minutes, and the moment you start up the engine for the first time, your car has more power – just like that. As Chris Harris says in this latest video by Drive, it used to take so much physical work to extract more power from an engine, now it takes mere seconds. Read more »

Audi TT Goes Flying Through the Air and Plants Itself in UK House! [w/Videos]

Car crashes in sleepy suburbs are always big news. All of the people in the neighborhood are shocked and very surprised that such an event could have taken place in their quiet little community.

Imagine what the residents of Long Meadow Walk, in Lowestoft, UK, must have felt like when they saw a red Audi TT, which made itself one with the front wall of a house…
