Forza 5 Gets Intelligent Cloud-Based AI Which Learns and Adapts

We are very fortunate to inhabit this planet at this very moment in history, as it really is a very unique time. Sure, there are problems with North Korea, and the economy in some parts of the world may be shaky, but when it comes to progress through technology, in any field, all seems to be going very strong.

Like the automotive industry itself, which has grown into a massive octopus composed of intermingling companies and corporations, the gaming industry has also expanded and grown, as have their products – this is very evident at this year’s edition of the E3 games convention which has featured a host of promising titles, of which we’ve featured the ones with cars. It seems that 2013-2014 is a really prolific period for game development.

McLaren P1 Needs a Push After Breaking Down at Concorso d'Eleganza

Out of all the places in the world, this McLaren P1 decided to break down at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, where it was supposed to wow the spectators with the sound of its V8 hybrid powerplant.

However, when the time came for the engine to be started, the P1’s dashboard display showed some not very encouraging messages like “Park Brake Fault – Call McLaren Service Centre” and ”ESC Fault Vehicle Limphome - Go to McLaren Service Centre”, as the video uploaded by Marchettino shows.

The Forza franchise is hugely appreciated amongst racing and driving simulator game fans, most of whom rank it very highly in their favorite titles of the genre. Spoiler-Less McLaren P1 Filmed Revving Outside of Company HQ

If you want a hybrid hypercar that is at the top of the technological and technical food chain, then the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari would be among your first options. It’s just like having to choose between a Ferrari 458 Italia and a McLaren MP4-12C – you either want cold, clinical precision, or you want a bit less of that and more ear caramel and Italian passion. McLaren Releases New Footage of P1 Cold Weather Testing

Cold weather testing is hugely important in the development process of a vehicle. If said car can’t withstand the harshest of conditions this planet can throw at it, then it will be improved until it can. That’s the purposes of taking camouflaged pre-production models up into the far reaches of northern Europe (mostly Sweden) – to test them to the extreme, and try to make them fail. Read more »

McLaren P1 Filmed Rolling Out of Showroom and Into a Truck

We're still eagerly awaiting for the first reviews on McLaren's new flagship supercar and the spiritual successor to the famed F1, the new P1, which made its first public appearance in production trim just last month in Geneva, but until then, we'll have to be content with whatever material comes our way. McLaren Drops New Photos of P1 Hypercar for Your Desktop

When it comes to exotic supercars like the McLaren P1, there's no such thing as too many photos, especially since very few people will actually get the chance to see one up close…

It is the second time this year that McLaren has shared an admittedly, beautiful gallery of images of the P1 photographed at the Bahrain International Circuit. The British automaker said it did so this time to celebrate the opening of the new McLaren Manama showroom at the Bahrain World Trade Center over the 2013 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix programme.

Movie Scoop: Lamborghini, McLaren and Koenigsegg Battle it Out in Need For Speed Film

Now that we've pretty much confirmed that a number of exotic supercars used in the filming of the "Need for Speed" movie in California are replicas from a detailed set of close-up shots, these fresh pictures from our new friends at Mendocinosportsplus (MSP) make a lot more sense – would you ever imagine any movie maker endangering so many rare, multi-million dollar vehicles?

In one scene, we see the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, of which only 20 examples were built in real life, chasing what we assume to be a clone of the all-new McLaren P1 and the a Koenigsegg Agera R in a very tight turn.

Are These Supercars from Need for Speed Movie Just Replicas?

We have to admit that we were really impressed when we saw the kind of machinery the producers of the upcoming "Need for Speed" movie were able to get their hands on – a McLaren P1, Koenigsegg Agera R, Spania GTA, not to mention the more than exclusive Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

However, judging from these new photos that surfaced on the Internet, some of these cars seem to be replicas of the original models. A Reddit user posted close-up shots of the McLaren P1 and Koenigsegg Agera R in which the two hypercars look fake.

The filming for Dreamwork's upcoming "Need for Speed" Hollywood blockbuster continues at Mendocino County, where the crew at Mendocinosportsplus (MSP) had first captured the McLaren P1 on the movie set.

One of Carscoops' readers, Andrew L., happened to stumble upon a truck carrying the British hypercar to one of the filming areas and took a few shots, which he kindly shared with us.

New McLaren P1 Spotted at Movie Set for Upcoming Need For Speed Film!

Does the world need another car movie franchise after the long-running Fast & Furious series, the sixth installment of which opens next month, while a seventh (!) film has been fast-tracked for a summer 2014 release?

Well, as they say, it all depends on whom you ask and, naturally, how good the movie is. You can't answer the latter unless you've seen it, but we can tell you that as car enthusiasts, you can count us in for being interested, especially if we're talking about exotics like the McLaren P1

F1 Driver Sergio Perez Drives McLaren P1 Around Top Gear Track

Formula One pilots are really lucky to race for a team which also happens to have a road car building unit. Even better if that team is McLaren, which currently offers two highly potent production models, including the MP4-12C and the all-new P1.

Since Lewis Hamilton moved to Mercedes for the 2013 F1 season, Mexican driver Sergio Perez is the most familiar face McLaren has in the paddock.

Geneva Show Hypercar Poll: Ferrari LaFerrari vs. Lamborghini Veneno vs. McLaren P1

In a few years’ time, the 2013 Geneva Motor Show will be remembered as the venue in which a new breed of supercar was introduced to the world: the hybrid with more than 900HP and emissions less than a conventional one with, say, less than half the firepower.

Both Ferrari and McLaren chose the Swiss event to unveil their new hypercars. Since the latter was practically identical to last year’s concept while the Italians kept their cards close to their chest, the prancing horse premiere was the most eagerly awaited.

Study Shows VW Golf, LaFerrari Share Online Media Attention in Geneva

Auto shows generate a lot of online buzz, especially when important new cars are launched. One would expect that at least one of the supercars unveiled this year in Geneva received the most media attention, with Ferrari’s LaFerrari being the main candidate. However, reality is little bit more complicated than that.

According to a study from media monitoring firm Kantar Media, the car that swept journalists off their feet at the Geneva show was none other than the mundane Volkswagen Golf!

The old adage about racing improving the breed certainly applies to this year’s Geneva Motor Show. We’re not referring to the gorgeous 911 GT3 that will form the basis of Porsche's new racer but the two Formula 1 arch-rivals that launched their new hypercars at the Swiss show. Read more »

McLaren Crunches the Numbers on P1: 350km/h or 218mph Limited Top Speed

It’s one of the big moments car fans have been waiting for these past few months: how fast is the new McLaren P1 that will challenge the likes of the upcoming Ferrari hypercar codenamed F150?

Without any further delay, here are the performance numbers: 0 to 100km/h (62mph) will take less than 3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h (124mph) under 7 seconds, and 0 to 300 km/h (186mph) in no more than 17 seconds, or 5 seconds faster than the famous McLaren F1. The P1's top speed is electronically restricted to 350 km/h (217.5 mph), which falls short of the F1's 386km/h (240mph).

New McLaren P1: Official Photos of Production Model Break Cover

We have no idea when McLaren was planning to share new images of its P1 hypercar, but nine photos showing the final production model have just hit the interwebs. How can we be sure that this is the production version and not the concept?

Easy. Besides the new color, the P1 in these images features added carbon fiber air-vents on both corners of the front bumper, road tires and a tighter mesh for the rear end vent, all of which were announced by a McLaren spokesperson during a private showing in New York back in December.
