What Would You Call a Cross Between a Honda City and a Chevrolet Camaro?

Adding to the many bizarre replicas found in the jungle that is the online web is this picture of a car, the front end of which apes that of the fifth generation Camaro with a big "H" badge for Honda, instead of a golden Chevrolet-bow-tie emblem. Read more »

Holy Scary Car Crash: Daewoo Comes Flying Into Windshield

Can you imagine taking a relaxed drive on a city road with your family, minding your own business, and all of a sudden, seeing a car flying in from the other way - must be terrifying, right?

It certainly is and it happened to YouTube author Sky Kang from Taiwan last Sunday when a 71-year old driver fell asleep on the wheel of his Formosa Matiz (sold in other parts of the world under many different nameplates including Daewoo, Pontiac, Chevrolet and even FSO).

This Malaysian Driver Will Be The Next Hot Thing On YouTube

We're not claiming to be expert talent hunters (or bearers of bad news), but something tells us that the guy featured in this short clip will be a hot commodity on YouTube and other video sharing channels in the very near future if he continues to practice his ways.

The fearless yet nonetheless brainless Malaysian owner of what looks to be an early 1990s Mitsubishi Lancer sedan (or it's Proton cousin, as pointed out by our readers) from this angle, had a friend film him while he lit up a cigarette using a lighter and the…fuel tank of his ride.

Lamborghini, Ferrari and Other Luxury Cars go up in Flames on Thai Trailer [w/Video]

Here's a story that's being making the news rounds in Thailand today, and all for good reason, because, while it's not uncommon for exotic supercars to catch fire on the road individually, having four of them turned into useless scrap metal on a transport trailer is a rare occasion, to say the least.

Yet it happened on a road in the resort district of Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima, in Thailand when a fire that is said to have started on a BMW, which spread on a Lamborghini Mucilageo and then onto a Ferrari F430 and a Bentley Continental. A motorist from the opposite lane purportedly alerted the driver of the truck about the fire.

New Mitsubishi Attrage Sedan Revealed in Depth in Brochure Shots, But Beware; It Ain't Pretty…

Turning a supermini into a four-door sedan may be fairly easy from a technical and engineering standpoint, but if not always, most of the times, the aesthetic results leave much to be desired.

The Mitsubishi Mirage-based Attrage small sedan is no exception to this rule, and this becomes quite evident in the brochure photos of the car that surfaced online a few days after the Japanese brand announced the production version, which will first go on sale in Thailand later this year, with more countries to follow.

Watch Fast & Furious Cast React in Shock After Learning Car Prices in Singapore

We often hear from our many Singapore readers in Carscoops' comments about the ludicrous car prices in the country, but it never gets old. While most of the cast from the Fast and Furious movies is portrayed in the franchise as genuine gearheads, in reality they aren't as near as knowledgeable, which makes their reactions upon learning about car prices in Singapore absolutely…priceless.

In a video interview about the sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise on Razor TV, journalist John Lui came up with the smart idea of asking the actors to guess the prices of cars in the country.

After previewing the conceptual G4 sedan at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March and the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year, Mitsubishi has now announced the production version of its new small sedan named the Attrage.

Billed as a "next-generation global sedan", the Attrage is the sedan sibling of the new Mirage supermini for buyers on a budget that is offered in several markets and regions around the world, including Europe, Asia and starting from this fall, in the United States as well.

Mercedes Driver Reportedly Faints on the Wheel Causing a Series of Accidents in Singapore

Upon seeing this video footage for the first time, you would be inclined to believe that the driver of the Mercedes-Benz sedan was drunk, running away from someone or perhaps both. However, as it turns out, the 42-year-old Singaporean man likely fainted on the wheel for unknown reasons. Read more »

Crazy Driver Plays Real Life GTA in Hong Kong

If you're into cars and video games, you've likely heard of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA for short) franchise where you can steal vehicles (and pay the services of prostitutes, but that’s another story…) and act like a genuine thug on the road, crashing and smashing into anything that comes your way, all in the safety of your home. This is what one man did - not in a game, though, but in real-life Hong Kong. Read more »

Jackie Chan Would be Proud of these Two Road Rage Fellas

Ah, another day, another pair of irritated motorists. We're told by our tipster Clement that this incident took place in Asia, likely in Taiwan, though, he wasn't sure, and neither are we due to the low quality of the video. Read more »

Philippines Customs Confiscate Illegally Imported McLaren MP4-12C

Working as a customs officer, one intercepts a huge variety of goods that would have otherwise illegally made their way into the country. However, aside from drugs, bombs and various common items of contraband, apparently exclusive cars are also a target for shady entrepreneurs.

For instance, in the Philippines, McLaren isn't currently officially present, and it is therefore impossible to simply go out and buy a MP4-12C supercar, if you are inclined to do so.

Scoop: Mildly Facelifted Nissan Micra Caught Unguarded in Thailand

It has been three years since Nissan released the Micra hatchback at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, which means that it's time for a mid-cycle update. And sure enough, Nissan has prepared a facelift for the sub-compact model, which was nabbed undisguised by a forum member of the Pulsar-Club during a commercial shoot in Thailand. Read more »

Vietnamese Police Demonstrate What Happens When You Fall Off a Bike with No Helmet…

To say there's something incredibly disturbing about this video that was filmed in Vietnam, is probably a huge understatement.

According to media reports from the Southeast Asian country, the shirtless man seen in the clip was arrested and handcuffed purportedly for sitting backwards on the motorcycle (at least that's what we understand, if you think you can help with the translation, tell us in the comments), which itself, wouldn't be newsworthy.

Bingo! Two Sloppy Accidents in One Stop

How can you rear-end a car that is slowly moving in front of you? Pfff, that's easy; just take your eyes off the road for a split second and keep your foot on the gas pedal, which is exactly what this young Asian lady (she could be from Taiwan, but don't take our word for it) did in her green Nissan sedan. Spy Shots Update: This is the New Toyota Vios Small Sedan, Not the Next Corolla

If anything, we like to be honest here at CarScoop and admit our mistakes. As many of our well-informed readers from Asia pointed out in our posting of a spy shot of candy-colored Toyota sedan, and which we thank them for, what we thought is the next Corolla compact sedan, is in fact the new generation of the Vios saloon.

This becomes clear with a second spy picture of the car shot from behind, where the smaller dimensions are more obvious, while we can also see the "Vios" name on the license plate holder.

New 2014 Toyota Corolla Sedan Spotted on the Road in Asia [Update: Or is the Vios?]

The new generation of Toyota's popular Corolla Sedan has been nabbed on camera for the second time this month.

While the previous pictures appeared to have been shot in an enclosed area, possibly during a private presentation, the Corolla seen here was captured driving on the road, reportedly in Asia, by a one Yusri Asek.

Slamming the Brakes When a Car is Coming from Behind is a Bad Idea

It's only human for drivers to slam on their brakes when they sense danger, but when you're on the road, you should always use common sense.

For example, deciding the very last minute that you want to exit a highway while other cars are coming from behind is a reckless move in itself.

But let's just say that you do it anyway; if you see a car approaching at speed from your rearview mirror, what's your next move: a) do you go accelerate or b) do you apply the brakes?
