Canadians Take Down a Swimming Pool with a Jeep Cherokee

We suppose there are many professional ways to flatten an outdoor, above ground swimming pool, but where's the fun in that?

YouTube author Kenny Mclean·and his friends / family came up with a novel idea to tear up their pool in southern Ontario, Canada, using a battered Jeep Cherokee SUV as a demolition tool.

Hennessey-Tuned Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Gets to 60MPH in 3.9 Seconds

A heavy SUV, which has been lowered, stiffened and bestowed with a monster V8 engine is a somewhat pointless exercise, and does not make a great off-roader or sports car. However, enough power will negate any kind of weight in a straight line, and that’s where the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT fitted with the Hennessey HPE650 upgrade kit shines. Read more »

MotorTrend Drives Slammed Willys Jeep Rat Rod to a Bar in Arizona

While the title of this piece may not sound particularly interesting, the act of driving a poorly-modified Willys Jeep to a bar in an Arizona desert, is a tall order. This is what the MotorTrend magazine crew did, with an old banger that had been bought a few months in advance, and which had been sitting unused this entire time. Read more »

MT Pits the All-New 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel Against the VW Touareg V6 TDI

Jeep seems to be really proud of what it has achieved with the Grand Cherokee, now that it has been redesigned for the 2014 model-year. It can be seen in the way they show it off, the style of writing that they use to promote it, and in the fact that that they gave it a credible SRT version. Now, fuel-conscious buyers can rejoice, because Jeep's flagship offering can be had with a torquey and efficient diesel engine. Read more »

Jeep Hides 2014 Cherokee's Quirky Face in New POV Video

Jeep is saying that the all-new 2014Cherokee is the "most capable mid-size SUV" (they fail to mention, in which areas, though).

Keen to prove that the brand is heading in the right direction, and keeping true to its core attribute of excellent off-road ability, they have now released a short video, which shows the awkwardly-styled SUV negotiating some pretty serious terrain – a place a where a rock-crawler would be much more at home.

Jeep Uses Inspirational Ad to Promote New Grand Cherokee

The current generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was updated this year at the Detroit Motor Show, is an SUV which is becoming increasingly posh and capable. With the revised styling, few could argue that its appeal has not grown, and it no longer looks awkward parked next to a more expensive alternative from Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Land Rover. Dumb and Bumper: See What Happens When Newbies Try to Pull out a Jeep from a Lake

One of the first things they teach you about pulling / towing a vehicle is to stay as far away as possible from the chain or rope. Then they will tell you that there's a hook placed on both ends of a vehicle where you should connect the strap.

Well, these experienced trail trackers from Brazil, did none of the above. What they did is tie a rope around the around the corner of one their Wrangler's rear bumper, with two men standing right next to the Jeep as it was trying to free the other vehicle.

And surprise, surprise...the bumper broke off whacking one of the men in the head, fortunately, non-fatally, though, it could have easily gone the other way.

Conjoined Jeep Wrangler Twins Filmed in Morocco

No, you're not seeing double, nor is this the work of an imaginative Photoshop artist, as evidenced by a video of the outlandish contraption filmed on the road.

If we are to believe the numerous posts on YouTube and other video sharing sites (we have yet to find the original clip, if you happen to know more, send us an email or tell us in the comments), an unnamed foreign diplomat living in Rabat, the capital and third largest city of the Kingdom of Morocco, owns the conjoined Jeep Wrangler twins.

Jeep Driver is Having an Unexplainable Hard Time Backing Out of This Parking Spot

Granted, the Jeep Commander isn't a small vehicle, but at 188.5 inches (4,788 mm) long, the crossover isn't huge either, which makes it kind of tough to explain why this driver is having such a hard time backing out of the parking space.

As is almost always the case with people filming these type of incidents, the men behind the camera are far more concerned about cracking a joke than going out to help the woman who is clearly struggling to move her car…

Jeep Isn't the Only Object to get a Thorough Cleaning in this NSFW Car Wash…

From the "What will they think of next" department comes the following security camera footage that will make you either scratch your head in confusion or scream what the heck is wrong with some people.

The video shows a red-colored, older generation Jeep entering the car wash and then a couple coming out of the SUV.

What happens next, is well, let's just say the point where it gets twisted in a way you would have never expected.

Judge Orders Woman who Drove on Sidewalk to Pass School Bus to Wear "Idiot" Sign

Remember the Jeep Compass driver who was caught on camera after repeatedly using the sidewalk to avoid waiting for a school bus loading and unloading children? The time of judgment came this week and we must admit, it wasn't what we were expecting

The driver of the Jeep, Shena Hardin, appeared in Cleveland Municipal court on Monday where Judge Pinkey S. Carr not only suspended her license for 30 days and ordered her to pay $250 in court costs, but she is also making her wear a sign that says, "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus"!

Smugglers from Mexico Learn that the Jeep Cherokee is Trail Rated, not Border Fence Rated...

What will they think of next? A group of suspected smugglers attempted to cross the U.S. border on Tuesday using an older Jeep Cherokee and two makeshift ramps on either side of the 14-foot fence at California’s Imperial Sand Dunes.

Their "Trail Rated" plan, however, hit a snag, when the Jeep became stuck on the metal barrier. Border Patrol spokesman Spencer Tippets told KMOV News that the Cherokee was spotted tangling over the fence just after midnight.

Real-Life SouthPark: Woman Stumbles in Front of a Big Foot Jeep But Still Won't Let Go of the Camera

Perhaps in another parallel universe, some strange beings could call this woman's actions courageous and admirable, but here on earth, we would like to believe that most people would describe her as senseless and completely irresponsible.

What did she do? Well, how about standing right in front of a big foot Jeep Wrangler during a rock climbing competition and falling down multiple times, yet continuing to hold on to her camera instead of trying to get out of harm's way?

Jeep Driver Uses Sidewalk to Bypass School Bus Only to Find a Cop on the Other Side…

We guess you could say justice was served in the case of 32-year-old Shena Hardin, of Cleveland, who reportedly had the bad habit of using the sidewalk whenever she saw a school bus to avoid waiting for the children to exit or enter the vehicle.

After seeing the same thing happening over and over again, a Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) bus driver decided to take matters in his own hands by calling the police to capture the woman red handed.

Sure enough, Hardin appeared with her silver-colored Jeep Compass and jumped on the sidewalk to go around the bus. Only this time, a patrol car was waiting for her just around the corner…

Jeep Enhances 2013 Grand Cherokee Lineup with SRT8 Alpine and Vapor Special Editions [w/Video]

With less than a year on the market, there was really no reason for Chrysler LLC to make any substantial changes to the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 for the 2013MY so instead, the Detroit carmaker added two new special edition models to the range called 'Vapor' and 'Alpine'.

The two new models are one and the same with the difference being that the Alpine is dressed in a "bright white" finish for the body while the Vapor in a "brilliant black" color.

New Video Shows Jeep Grand Cherokee's Tires Pop Multiple Times in Moose Test

In the latest episode of the Jeep Grand Cherokee saga, the Swedes at Teknikens Värld have released new video footage of the subsequent tests that were performed after the SUV failed the infamous moose test.

Following a second test with a different Grand Cherokee that produced similar results, the Swedish magazine summoned a group of Chrysler engineers who insisted that the car be loaded with 470kg (1,037 lbs) or 132kg (291 lbs) less than Jeep/Chrysler's own registered maximum payload of 602kg (1,327 lbs).

The magazine pointed out that with a driver and four adult passengers, there's "hardly any margin for luggage" if they adhered to Jeep's 470kg payload demand but agreed to do the test nevertheless.

Teknikens Värld Defends Moose Test Findings, Chrysler Says the Magazine Cheated

The battle of press releases and statements that erupted between the Chrysler Group and Swedish car magazine Teknikens Värld after the latter published a video showing the Jeep Grand Cherokee almost tipping over in the infamous "moose test" continues to rage on.

In its first response, the Detroit carmaker said its engineers tried to "reproduce the wheel-lift in a properly loaded vehicle" without success.

Chrysler pointed out that neither Teknikens Värld was able to recreate the original event in a subsequent evaluation of three vehicles performing 11 runs, which were conducted by the magazine on July 8 in Sweden and witnessed by the automaker's engineers.

According to Chrysler, "The uncharacteristic result was obtained using a vehicle loaded beyond its weight specifications."

Today, Teknikens Värld notified us about its latest posting that rebukes Chrysler's claims saying that the aforementioned moose test with the Jeep Grand Cherokee was conducted according to strict parameters that were followed "to the smallest detail".

Swedish Magazine Claims that New Jeep Grand Cherokee is "Lethal" in Moose Test

Some fifteen years after Swedish car magazine Teknikens Värld forced Mercedes-Benz to hastily upgrade its newly introduced at the time A-Class, when in 1997, its journalists flipped over the tall hatchback during the now-infamous "moose" or "elk" test, the same publication is claiming that the latest generation of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is prone to rolling over.

As it does with most new cars launched in Sweden, Teknikens Värld subjected the latest Grand Cherokee (launched in the country last year) to the moose test, which is a high-speed steering maneuver designed to simulate the driver's efforts to evade an obstacle that suddenly appears on the road - such as a moose, hence the name of the test.

The magazine found that in its base configuration for the Swedish market, and despite being fitted with an anti-rollover system, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee "shows potentially fatal rollover tendencies at low speed in our avoidance maneuver test".

"Such behavior is totally unacceptable in 2012," said Teknikens Värld's Linus Pröjtz.

Watch Polish Drivers Try to get a Jeep Cherokee Out of Waist Deep Mud Water

The tallest snorkel and toughest wheels in the world won't do anything to help if you underestimate the depth of a body of water and what lies underneath, as was the case with these explorers that tried to cross a mud pond near the village of Siennica in Poland with their trail-rated, Jeep Grand Cherokee second generation LinkCherokee.

The video shows the Jeep model filled with water right up to the door handles and stuck in the mud.
