Scoop: Bentley Continental Flying Spur Chased Around the 'Ring by Merc's SLS AMG Black

It's not all work for test drivers and engineers trying out prototypes of upcoming models on racing tracks like the Nürburgring Nordschleife as sometimes they get the opportunity to play around with their colleagues and even rivals.

In this video footage, courtesy of YouTube user 'Fastsportscardriver', we see a prototype of the redesigned 2014 Bentley Continental Flying Spur luxury sedan being challenged by the driver of a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series test car, which as you probably already know, was recently unveiled online, almost a year before it goes on sale.

U Spy: A 2014 Bentley Continental Flying Spur in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class Costume

When not trying out cars like the V10-powered Lexus LFA at Silverstone, CarScoop reader Jean-Luc C. is as observant as a hawk. While on his way to work, Jean-Luc spotted an odd-looking Bentley and was quick enough to snap some quick spy shots for us with his cell phone.

Now, our spies have sent us a new set of images of a dark grey test car that is believed to be equipped with the Audi-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 found on the base versions of the refreshed Continental GT coupe and Continental GTC convertible models.

Spy Shots: 2014 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Prototype Caught with Fake S-Class Camo

You have to admit that Bentley's people had a great sense of humor when it came to covering up a prototype for the updated 2014 Continental Flying Spur sedan.

The British firm's engineers devised a funny looking set of headlamp and taillight decals and fake wheel arch moldings with the intention of creating the illusion of a…Mercedes-Benz S-Class limo.
