Russian Taxi Driver Flips His Car While Trying to Flee from a Small Fender Bender

If this Russian taxi driver isn't under the influence of some hallucinating drug or at least plenty of alcohol, then someone should give him an award for being this year's biggest nitwit behind the wheel.

If you just bear with us for a minute, you'll see what we mean. From his dash-cam recorder, we watch the taxicab driver take a turn and bump into a parked, silver Toyota Corolla sedan. No big deal, right?

Nissan Adds Leaf to Fleet of EV New York Taxis [w/Video]

Nissan has just started a pilot program in New York City, and will be testing out six Leaf EVs that are to assume the role of taxis for the next year. It is a small-scale action designed to give the Leaf a shot to prove itself. However, to taxi drivers in London, Amsterdam and Sao Paulo, it has been a trusted companion for over a year.

In fact, the Dutch EV taxi service racked up more than 155,000 miles (250,000 km) in its first six months of operation.

Mercedes Driver Reportedly Faints on the Wheel Causing a Series of Accidents in Singapore

Upon seeing this video footage for the first time, you would be inclined to believe that the driver of the Mercedes-Benz sedan was drunk, running away from someone or perhaps both. However, as it turns out, the 42-year-old Singaporean man likely fainted on the wheel for unknown reasons. Read more »

Taxi Driver Shows us How to Impress Your Passengers with a U-Turn

Luc Besson, we just might have a new candidate for your Taxi franchise, if you ever consider making a fifth movie, that is.

While we're not entirely convinced that the yellow sign on the roof of the white sedan does indeed indicate that it's a taxi (we also see a grey-colored BMW 3-Series E30 Touring with the same sign crossing by), the intrepid driver should consider himself lucky for not ending up in the face of the Toyota Highlander.

DeLorean NYC Taxi Concept Promises to Take You Back to Another Time

As the great Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown once put it, "Once this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious s*it."

Sadly, time-travel has yet to be invented, but that's not the only problem with this New York City taxicab that's based on the DeLorean featured in the Back to the Future trilogy.

Chinese Taxi Driver Makes New York Cabbies Look Like Cautious Old Ladies

Forget about crazy roller coasters and Disney World scream machines; if it is a real-life scary ride you want, just try to find out details about the man sitting behind the wheel of this taxicab in China.

We don't know if you have ever seen the dashcam footage that we stumbled upon by chance on YouTube and which, for the record, was filmed back in 2008 (you can’t watch them all on time, can you), but it sure left us pondering about many things in regards of the behavior of taxi drivers

Citroën Targets Europe's Taxi Market with New Edition of DS5 Hybrid4

Unlike the United States where the taxicab market is as tedious as a Ford Crown Victoria in a white finish, in Europe, it's as colorful as a summer garden with offerings ranging from inexpensive Dacia Logan saloons to luxurious Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estates and everything in between.

And the palette will soon get more vibrant with the addition of the Citroën DS5 Hybrid4 that will be unveiled in a world premiere at the upcoming European Taxi Fair in Cologne from November 9 to 11, 2012.

BMW Tool Power Drifts Tuned M6 Coupe Into a Taxi Cab and a Motorcyclist in Vietnam

A BMW fan club event that took place on the streets of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City ( formerly known as Saigon) this past Sunday had an unexpected outcome when one of the drivers thought it would be a great idea to entertain the small crowd by power drifting his tuned M6 Coupe around a corner.

The owner of the matte-black M6, which is said to have some 700-horses lurking under its hood, lost control of the car and smashed into a park taxi van, narrowly avoiding its driver, but not the scooter rider that was located in front of the cab – fortunately, he was not seriously injured.

Dramatic Footage Shows U.S. Marine Brutally Beating Up Cab Driver [NSFW]

Working as cab driver can be an extremely hazardous affair, which is probably why some taxi owners have started to install cameras facing towards the passenger area in their vehicles.

One such recording device captured dramatic footage of a cab driver who was brutally attacked inside his vehicle by a young man in Surf City, North Carolina, at around 1:00 Sunday morning.

The attacker was later identified as Gunnery Sgt. John Adam Kinosh of the MARSOC Special Operations School at Stone Bay.
