Here's another mystery scoop for you readers. This one comes to us courtesy of Reddit user Kenitzka who apparently found the test car parked outside of what looks to be a fast food place – our investigative efforts say it's a McDonalds lot. Read more »

Future Cars: Envisioning the 2015 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe

Ever since the launch of the successful Cadillac ATS sedan, I've humbly admired its presence and determination for going toe to toe with its German rivals. Styling alone gives the competition cause for concern, as it appears striking, balanced and well refined. From the well sorted proportions to its svelte, yet simple surfacing, the ATS is a welcome progression from the hard-edged and boxier designs of recent Cadillac past.

This all bodes well for something else to be derived off the ATS platform; yes that's right - a rather luring Coupe version.

Exclusive: 2014 Cadillac Escalade - Here's Your First Official Look and Insider Info

If you take a look at Cadillac's current portfolio, there's one model that sticks out like a blueberry in a pan of milk for more reasons than one. Yes, we're talking about the Escalade, GM's biggest, most luxurious and with a $63,170 starting price, most expensive full-size SUV.

In production since 2007, the third generation Escalade has seen its sales numbers fall, but it remains a profit machine for GM, which is why the Detroit carmaker is keen to launch a replacement that will enhance its strong points and diminish its weaknesses.

Spied on the Road: The 2014 Cadillac Escalade

Cadillac's most expensive model series, the Escalade, is getting old and GM knows it. The numbers speak for themselves with the regular Escalade seeing its sales drop by 16.3 percent last year; from 15,079 units in 2011 to 12,615, the long wheelbase ESV by -3.6 percent to 8,083 deliveries and the EXT pickup truck version by -5.0 percent to 1,934 units.

The General isn't sitting with its arms crossed, though, as work on the fourth generation of Cadillac's full-size premium SUV is reaching its end.

GM Shows New Cadillac ELR on the Road Ahead of Detroit World Premiere

Less than a week before its scheduled world premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, General Motors has shared a single picture of its new Cadillac ELR coupe covered in wraps while driving through the mountains of Southern California during development testing.

The ELR extended-range electric luxury coupe is the production version of the wreath and crest brand's Converj Concept displayed at the 2009 Detroit auto show.

Future Cars: GM's Upcoming 2014 Cadillac Escalade Luxury SUV

The Sopranos, rappers and suburban mums (perhaps the Chinese as well…) can all rejoice; yes, that's right, the Cadillac Escalade is making a comeback - in fact quite a visual one, as you can see in our illustration based on recent spy shots and our own intel.

On the heels of the latest Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, GM's Cadillac unit has been busy massaging the truck-based platform with the aim of turning it into America's ultimate luxury SUV statement.

When first introduced in 1999, the aim was to tackle opposition from the likes of the Ford Group's Lincoln Navigator. The resulting effort was rather dismal as GM hastily took the GMC Yukon Denali as a starting point and barely modified it; thankfully whilst still being truck-based, successive generations have somewhat improved.

Scoop: 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan Filmed Racing Around the Nordschleife

There's no place like the Nürburgring Nordschleife when it comes to testing and honing the handling dynamics of a vehicle, something that even General Motors has long accepted.

And now, with Cadillac having turned most of its guns directly towards BMW, the wreath and crest brand is increasing its presence on the fabled circuit, which recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Spied in this video is the next generation of the Cadillac CTS that was captured on film being thrashed around the 'Ring.

Cadillac's Plans for the 2013-15 Model Years Reportedly Include New Flagship Limo and Escalade

The next 24 months will be a busy time for Cadillac in terms of new products as the Detroit automaker has plenty on its plate including the presentation of a flagship limousine loosely based on the well-received Ciel convertible sedan concept.

A report from Automotive News (sub. required) citing sources from within General Motors outlines Cadillac's plans for the 2013-15 model years.

According to the insiders, GM has given the green light for the development of a full size, rear-wheel drive luxury sedan that will sit atop of the range rivaling the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series, Jaguar XJ and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Spy Shots: 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan Grows in Size

These are some of the best spy pictures of the next generation 2014 Cadillac CTS yet as GM's engineers have finally removed the black vinyl camouflage from the prototype models, a sign that we're getting closer to the official reveal of the premium sedan model.

That's not to say that we have a clear view of the new CTS, but by discarding the vinyl covers we can at least see the outline of the car and sample the latest interpretation of Cadillac's "Arts & Science" edgy design formula.

While the styling will be crucial for the third generation CTS, one of the most important things to know about the new car is that it will finally grow in size to compete directly against the BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Lexus GS models instead of hovering between two categories.
