Citroen Starts Building New C4L Compact Sedan in Argentina

Citroen is replacing the C4 Pallas for the Brazilian market, with this, the new C4L, which uses the latest incarnation of the hatch as a starting point, instead of the previous-generation car, which went out of production in Europe in 2010. Also, it is to be built in the neighborhood, and specifically, in El Palomar, Argentina. Read more »

Spied: Did Citroen Just Pull a Nissan Juke-Styling Stunt on the New C4 Picasso?

We've known for a while that Citroen is developing replacements for the five-seat C4 Picasso and the longer, seven-seater C4 Grand Picasso, and that both minivans will feature a new design.

Nevertheless, these scoop pictures of a convoy of C4 Picasso MPVs driving on the streets of the city of Vigo in Spain, and which come to use courtesy of the crew over at Highmotor, caught us completely off guard - not so much by the fact that the cars were completely undisguised as by what is visible…

Wheels of Steel: Robert Kubica Proves He's Still Got It

If not all, most ordinary drivers would think twice before sitting behind the wheel of a racecar after such a traumatic crash as the one experienced by former BMW-Sauber and Renault Formula 1 star Robert Kubica in Italy almost two years ago.

But not Kubica, who not only returned to racing, but the Pole also made his maiden victory in a World Rally Car at the 2012 Rally di Como in Italy this past weekend.

It's been a long recovery road for former BMW-Sauber and Renault Formula 1 star Robert Kubica, who suffered severe arm and leg injuries in a horrendous accident in February 2011 in Italy's Ronde di Andorra rally.

The 27-year old F1 racer from Poland, who made an understated return to rally driving in September winning two small races in Italy, is now ready to take the next step and compete in the Rally di Como in Italy on 15-17 November and France's Rallye du Var the following week.

Scoop: New Citroën C4 Grand Picasso 7-Seater MPV Makes its First Appearance

For the past few years, Citroën has covered the mainstream compact MPV market in Europe and other parts of the world with two variations of its C4-based Picasso, the regular five-seater model and the longer seven-seater Grand Picasso.

This won't change with the next generation of the C4 Picasso that will continue to offer buyers a choice of two different body styles.

We've already scooped the five-seater model and now our spies have captured the first photos of the larger and more spacious C4 Grand Picasso while undergoing hot weather testing in Europe.

Scoop: New Citroen C4 Picasso MPV Filmed Testing in Spain

Engineers continue to test the new generation of the Citroen C4 Picasso, a prototype of which was snapped on camera in Spain ahead of a sales launch early next year.

The car seen here is wearing heavy camouflage but it looks like the French firm's designers have gone for a more hunkered down appearance and less egg-shaped silhouette than the current model.

Spied: Next Citroen C4 Picasso Minivan

Not long ago, we reported on the forthcoming, next generation of the Citroen C4 Picasso, which was scooped while undergoing winter testing in Europe. Now, our spies have caught up with two more prototypes of the French firm's popular compact minivan series.

Citroen Debuts New C-Elysee and C4 L Compact Sedans

Citroën is targeting the world's most populous automotive segment, the compact saloon market with some 20 million registrations in 2011 or close to a third of all worldwide passenger car sales, with not one but two new models, the C-Elysée and C4 L.

As you may have already guessed by now, the C-Elysée is the Citroën flavored version of Peugeot's budget compact sedan, the newly announced 301, with the two cars sharing the same body but bespoke fasicas, wheels and tail lamps.

The French brand says the C-Elysée will be manufactured in Spain and will be sold in Turkey, Spain, Central Europe and Algeria before the end of 2012.

The sedan model rides on a 2.65m long wheelbase and has large boot capacity of 506 litres. Depending on the market, the C-Elysée will be available with the latest generation VTi 97bhp petrol engine.
