SsangYong Actyon Slapped in the Face with a BMW Kidney Grille

Before you unleash some bitter words onto SsangYong about the resemblance between the Actyon compact sport utility vehicle and the BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupé (SAC), you might want to know that the Koreans had presented their high-riding and sloped-roof hatchback-style model in 2005, or three years before the Bavarians came out with their luxury proposal.

Still, we're pretty impressed at how well BMW's double kidney grille and logos blend in on this SsangYong Actyon, which was spotted parked partially on a sidewalk in Poland.

Hamann Tycoon II M is a BMW X6M Turned Up to Eleven!

The BMW X6M is an SUV with a coupe profile, four seats and one very powerful engine. It has more than enough performance to meet all needs, with a claimed 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time of 4.7 seconds and an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (248 km/h).

Yet there seems to be a bit of room for improvement, and Hamann is only too happy to oblige with their latest kit for the vehicle, called Tycoon II M – I won’t make fun of its name, but it’s not the best they could have come up with.

Inside Performance’s 700HP BMW X6 M "Stealth" Isn’t at All Stealthy…

For most people, the 550-hp BMW X6 M is more than enough if they want an ultra-fast and flashy SUV (or SAC, as BMW likes to call it). This opinion is obviously not shared by the aftermarket specialists at Inside Performance, who set out to increase the X6 M’s power and “look-at-me” factor. Read more »

Report: Next Generation BMW X6 to Be Even Larger, More Aggressively Styled

Launched in 2008, the BMW X6 is not exactly what one would call an old model. However, BMW plans to replace it next year, right after the market launch of its new, slightly smaller X4 Sports Activity Coupe.

The all-new X6 will be based on the same platform as the third-generation X5, which will be the largest X5 yet. While the future X6 will have a similar silhouette to the current model, the difference will be in details, which are expected to be more aggressive.

BMW Describes New Concept X4 in Video, We Visually Compare it with X6

The star of BMW’s booth at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show will no doubt be the Concept X4, a pre-production model that reveals how the brand’s second Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) will look like. As with the larger X6 model, BMW wanted to combine the high ground clearance and powerful aspect of an SUV with the dynamic lines and elegant roofline of a coupe. Read more »

Gulf Lotus X12 is One Giant Hodge-Podge of Ugliness

As much as we tried, there's no other way to put it; the Gulf Lotus X12 is simply one of the most garish looking SUVs we've ever laid eyes on.

While we found many elements from other vehicles, ranging from the BMW-sourced tail lamps, and –inspired boot design, to the Hamann EVO-like vented bonnet and the Hummer or Toyota FJ Cruiser-shaped windshield and front roof styling, we weren't able to decode what car has been sacrificed to offer its platform for the customized body.

Guess What this BMW X6 is Hauling Up in the Snow

'Snowcat' is a generic term used for enclosed-cabin, fully tracked machinery that are made exclusively for use in snow (hence the name). They are employed not only on ski resorts, to prepare the trails, but also by military forces and other organizations.

As 4x4s have evolved in the past two decades from rugged, no-frill tools to civilized and luxurious vehicles that retain some degree of off-road capability, seeing one stuck in mud or snow is not uncommon these days – especially if the driver hasn’t fitted winter tires.

Kahn Design Meets the BMW X6 Crossover and Gives it a Muscular Makeover

We are accustomed to A. Kahn Design (formerly known as Project Kahn, for those of you wondering) working its styling touch on various Land Rover SUVs, but BMW tunes are far more rare for the British company.

Scheduled for a release in the forthcoming weeks, is Kahn's elaborate styling package for the BMW X6 that brings many changes to both the exterior and the interior of the Bavarian brand's sports crossover.

Several BMW Models and Rolls Royce Ghost Recalled for Circuit Board that Poses a Fire Risk

With an MSRP of around $250,000, the most affordable model in Rolls-Royce's lineup, the Ghost, costs about four times as much as the top (non-M) BMW 5-Series in the States, the 550i (MSRP: $62,000).

Still, that doesn’t mean you won't find common parts in these two models, and not only, as the BMW Group's latest recall proves.
