The 4-Series isn't the only new nameplate to join the ranks of BMW as the brand with the blue and white roundel logo is now preparing a new addition in the form of the 2-Series, which will take away the coupe and convertible models from the 1-Series lineup.

What we have here is a realistic digital render of what the new 2-Series Coupe with an M Sport package will look like when it goes on sale worldwide next year, courtesy of the creative minds over at Humster3D.

BMW Showcases "The Great 8", Their Flagship Coupe of the 1990s

While the BMW 8-Series wasn’t a big commercial success, it was one of those interesting cars which was bound to gather a following in future years, simply because it represents an odd car from a very serious, traditional manufacturer that never strays too far from its core design philosophy of the era.

Dubbed the "Great Eight" by some, the GT coupe was a very sleek-looking BMW, and for many, the looks and the rarity factor alone are/were what drew them to the car in the first place.

Man Sells BMW Isetta, Buys It Back by Chance 20 Years Later [w/Video]

It’s hard to believe looking at the current BMW range, but the Isetta was once built and marketed as a BMW. Various companies built the Italian-designed Isetta under license in a number of countries, but to this day, the BMW version remains the best known.

Powered by a single-cylinder engine ranging from 250cc and 12hp to 300cc and 13hp, the BMW Isetta was a cute-looking bubble car that had (and still has) a broad fan base. However, it is pretty rare to find the owner of an Isetta who bought the car new and still keeps it running.

Mercedes A45 AMG Easily Beats BMW M135i and VW Golf GTI in Comparison Test

The following comparison test from Autocar couldn’t bring together more different types of hot-hatches. For starters, there’s the all-wheel-drive Mercedes A45 AMG powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit developing 355 horsepower (360PS). Then there’s the rear-wheel-drive BMW M135i powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine that churns out 316 hp (320PS). Finally, the most curious choice of the test is the VW Golf GTI Performance, a front-wheel-drive 227hp (230PS) car powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Read more »

Driver Sends New BMW Straight Into the Water to Avoid a Squirrel

Squirrels are thought of as being one of the cutest and most innocent of the woodland critters, so when one runs in front of your brand new BMW, of course you are going to try to avoid it, even if you run the risk of driving right into a lake and completely totaling your ride. This is what happened close to (and eventually in) San Diego’s Mission bay according to U-T San Diego. Read more »

Giorgi Tevzadze's Last Drift Video Before His Tragic Death and an Eerie YouTube Message

The devil has divided loyalties when it comes to Giorgi Tevzadze from Georgia, who passed away this week in an unfortunate car accident. On one hand, he was an extremely skillful driver, but on the other hand, when he did apply his talents behind the wheel, he did it on public roads, often disregarding the safety of other motorists (even though some may rightfully claim that he had far more control over his cars than most drivers). Georgian BMW M5 Street Drifter Giorgi Tevzadze Reportedly Dies in Crash

If you were ever on the lookout for videos with insanely talented / dangerous street racers and drifters breaking just about every law on the book and many times, jeopardizing the well-being of other drivers, you probably have heard about and watched Giorgi Tevzadze from Georgia (the country, not the State).

We regret to inform you that, according to a number of reports including from the M5E39 website and more importantly, comments on NeedForDrive (NFD), which hosted many videos of Tevzadze's wild rides, the Georgian driver died in a car crash in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. He was not the driver but a passenger in the M5.

MT Does Classic Test Between BMW 750Li and Jaguar XJL Supercharged

Those looking to buy a long wheelbase car will find that the Jaguar XJL bears little resemblance to what they normally get - the old XJ included.

When comparing it to a BMW 7-Series long wheelbase edition, a 750Li, the much more restrained German saloon is overshadowed by the very flamboyant Brit, both inside and out, as well as when it comes to the overall driving and ownership experience, as MotorTrend found out recently when pitting the two cars against one another

Watch a Short History Lesson on the Evolution of the BMW M3 Species

The BMW M3 is without a doubt, the most successful BMW M model, and it all started almost three decades ago with the E30 BMW M3. Built over the years in coupe, convertible and even sedan variants (the E36 and E90), the M3 is still the default choice for those who want supercar performance for premium sedan money.

To this day, the original E30 BMW M3 stirs emotions like no other M3, but that doesn’t mean the following generations were flops. However, as far as the E36 M3 is concerned, BWS Motorsports' Marc Norris has a different opinion though, as he sees it as a step backwards compared to the E30 M3, despite the fact that it was the first M3 with a six-cylinder engine.

Lawyer and Retired Cop in Ties Get Into a Road Rage Fight in LA

While a fight is never a funny thing, you'll forgive us for chuckling at the sight of two dressed-up Los Angeles men in their silver-hair years trying to throw punches at each other, but at the same time, needing help to get up from the road...

YouTube author Jessica Breuer captured the road-rage fight on film. This is what she wrote about the incident: "Two men in ties fighting in the street. The guy with the short hair flew out of his car and started beating the crap out of the other guy."

BMW 2002 with a Wide Booty and 5.0-Liter Mustang V8 Up for Grabs on eBay

If classic car ownership is what you’re interested in, then perhaps you should look elsewhere…This piece focuses on a BMW 2002 from 1969 that has been painted a very strange two-tone combination of olive green and brown, which does nothing to hide the huge flared wheel arches.

The car's interior has been stripped out, literally, and what is left can only be called minimalist – it’s not eye catching in any way, but you won’t have time to check out the hole where the dash was supposed to be, because this car packs a 5.0-liter V8 engine from a Ford Mustang that breathes out through matte-white side pipes!

M3 CSL Turns 10, BMW Organizes Official Event at HQ

BMW’s E46 M3 CSL turned 10 this year, and in order to celebrate the occasion, the manufacturer organized a small get-together at their German HQ, summoning 50 CSL drivers to come take part. With only 1,400 made, it is a rare car, so you won’t really get to see this many in one place, unless another similar event is planned for the future. Read more »

New BMW 4-Series Coupe Debuts on Video, Includes Driving Footage

BMW has accustomed us to having its designers and marketing people talk us through its new models, and the 4-Series Coupe is no exception. With the reveal of its new 3-Series-based coupe, the Bavarian carmaker also released a video in which BMW’s head of design Karim Habib describes the 4-Series Coupe’s styling highlights.

According to Habib, the new coupe adds more status and has more presence on the road than the outgoing 3-Series coupe. The Bavarian company's design boss says the most important thing about it are its proportions. At the front, the connection between the kidney grille and the headlights has been taken one-step further from the 3-Series, with the designer saying the element is wider and more elegant.

Dimwitted BMW M3 Driver has a Death Wish

More due to luck than anything else, the Russian (or so we understand he's from Russia) driver of this BMW M3 E92 Coupe was not involved in an accident – this time, at least, because if he continues this way, he will surely soon make it on our list of crazy crashes from the land of Tsars...

Even so, the driver and his passenger who was filming the speedy run came very close to re-creating this much-publicized Moscow accident that occurred earlier in the year.

BMW X4 Heads Out of Photo Studio and Onto Revolving Platform in New Unofficial Video

Petrolicious Gives Us a BMW E30 M3 Appreciation Lesson

The E30 BMW M3 is now a real collectors’ car, but unlike most old vehicles people end up collecting that are either too slow or far too unsuitable for modern traffic conditions, this is a sports car dressed up as a late 1980s 3-Series. However, it doesn’t really share that much with the standard car when it comes to its body, from which it only takes the basic body shell, roof and bonnet. Read more »
