Don't Read This If You Don't Want Us to Spoil Top Gear’s New Reasonably Priced Car

If you can’t wait to see Sunday’s Top Gear episode, the first one from the motoring show’s 20th season, then let us spoil it for you…gently. This first paragraph can be read with the utmost confidence that we will not reveal anything, aside from the fact that they are changing their reasonably priced car, and getting one with a familiar badge from closer to home… Read more »

Top Gear Trio of Presenters to Drive All Versions of the Jaguar F-Type in New Season

After having released a trailer for their upcoming season, number twenty, Top Gear and its trio of presenters were spotted in London, at the wheel of Jaguar F-Types bearing some hefty Union Jack flags on the back.

The video shot by Shmee150 shows the three middle-aged men coming into a parking lot/dead-end road, then coming back the way they came.

Get Your Very Own Peel P50 Replica from eBay and Pretend You're Jeremy Clarkson

The Peel P50 gained international acknowledgement when Jeremy Clarkson drove one through the BBC offices during an older episode of Top Gear. This was possible because the P50, which was originally built on the Isle of Mann in the 1960s, is minute even when comparing it to our smallest of modern automobiles – Japanese Kei cars are massive in comparison.

It used to hold the record for being the smallest production car in the world, but it has been dethroned. Now you can own one for yourself, if you have $26,000 with which are willing to part. It is expensive, but it is also new and modern, as it is in fact, a replica built in the UK by Modern Microcars.

Jeremy Clarkson Criticized for Tweeting Anout Babies Belonging in Airplane Baggage Hold

Since Top Gear has taken a long break from our television sets to shoot new episodes (no more than six per season), Jeremy Clarkson is perhaps feeling a bit neglected and has therefor chosen to make a statement to get everybody talking about him. This time he used his Twitter account to ask, “When will British Airways realize that babies belong in the hold?”

His anger was caused by a recent flight he took to Scotland, which probably didn’t go so well because of child troubles. It was not explained what caused Clarkson to make the remark, but predictably, it sparked outrage in various circles.

Top Gear Special Explodes Number of Searches for Used Subaru WRX Wagons

The last two Top Gear episodes, which formed a two-part special, in which each of the presenters chose an estate model in order to search Africa for the real source of the mighty river Nile.

As usual, the cars they were constrained to drive were not the most suitable for the rutted and broken roads they would eventually have to negotiate. However, this time Richard actually made a great choice by bringing along a Subaru WRX wagon/estate, which was easily the driving force of the whole expedition.

We Ask Toyota and Subaru about James May's Claim that Toyota Gets 90% of GT 86/FR-S/BRZ Production

After testing the Toyota GT 86 and declaring it an absolute blast and very easy to drift even when reading a book (!), then handing it over to The Stig for the customary lap, Jeremy Clarkson sat down with the other two Top Gear hosts and discussed the news.

This is usually the less exciting part of BBC’s show. A CarScoop reader, who goes by the nickname “Uglydawg69”, though, tipped us off that in that episode during the three lads’ bantering, James May said Toyota and Subaru have agreed that the former will sell 90 out of every 100 coupes the latter manufactures at its Ota plant located 50 miles northwest of Tokyo.

Jeremy Clarkson Approves of Toyota’s GT 86 in Third Episode of Top Gear’s 19th Season

He is probably the most famous car TV show host, a fame he has earned mostly due to his sometimes brilliant, other times controversial or plainly insulting remarks.

Either way, Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t really mind and continues doing what he knows best. He is a hard man to please, too; just ask the automakers that have been on the receiving end of his comments about their cars.

Top Gear Goes Rallying with a Bentley and JC Builds the Smallest Car in the World

In case you think the Stig smashing the Ariel Atom’s lap record in the Pagani Huayra is the only exciting thing that happened in the first episode of Top Gear's 19th season, you’d better reconsider.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from watching the BBC TV car show over the years it’s that you can count on the three hosts to do much more than test cars or hand over the keys of the latest supercar to their tame racing driver for a quick lap around the TG test track.

Top Gear Returns for 19th Season, Pagani Huayra Smashes Ariel Atom V8 Lap Record

Some say that it’s getting a bit old inserting the “some say” joke in Top Gear stories, so we’ll just get down to business. As you may probably have heard, the world’s most (in)famous TV car show is back for its 19th season.

Even though the three hosts teased us about what was about to come, and after watching them for so long, we’ve come to expect almost everything, the season premiere that aired on Sunday, 27 January on UK’s BBC Two managed to throw quite a surprise.

Ladies and gentlemen, let the countdown begin for the first episode of Top Gear Season 19 that will air in the UK on BBC 2 in less than two weeks from now on January 27.

Top Gear UK to Begin Filming on January 23, Air on January 27? Plus New Trailer for Season 19

We missed them last year after the BBC decided to move Top Gear season 19 to 2013, but fear not, as Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will soon be back on our tellies.

While there's no official confirmation yet on the date, be that from Top Gear itself or via Clarkson who is still making jokes about Pierce Morgan on his Twitter account, according to ApplauseStore.com, which as stated on the website is the "only official ticket unit to handle Top Gear studio audience tickets" in Britain, filming for season 19 will begin on January 23.

Top Gear UK Reveals the Secret Life of The Stig Through a New Book [w/Video]

If you're a gearhead, you no doubt know The Stig, the mystery man in the white racing suite who appears on Top Gear's television shows with the main host (i.e. Jeremy Clarkson in the original UK series) always using the "Some say" tagline to introduce him to viewers before he tries out a car on the track.

The time has now come for Top Gear to "tell the life story of The Stig", as it claims, through a new book titled "The Stig. The Untold Story", which was written by a journalist who followed our driving hero over the past year.

Jeremy Clarkson Angry at Top Gear for Breaking Two-Minute Silence in Honor of UK Armed Forces

Proving once again that social media can be a double-edged sword at times, Top Gear UK came under fire when its twitter account, which is run by BBC Worldwide, broke a two-minute silence on Sunday, 11:00am, to honor Britain's war dead.

The show's Twitter page at BBC_TopGear posted a tweet at 11:01am that read:

"Most-watched vid on #TopGear this week? Behind-the-scenes at TG mag’s pan-American race between a Bentley... and a train..."

Get your Top Gear UK Fix with New 'Worst Car in the World Ever' Preview and Finn Job Interview

So we hear that a select few of our readers [cough, cough] kind of missed seeing Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond in the original Top Gear television series after Simon Cowell and his X-Factor clan forced the BBC to move season 19 to February 2013.

Perhaps we can temporarily fill the void with two fresh videos of the Top Gear gang, the first of which is a 4-minute long teaser of an all-new, never before seen on TV special titled "Top Gear: The Worst Car in the History of the World" that will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download on Monday, November 19, 2012.

Top Gear Promotes New Limited Edition Lego Stig Keyring with Stop-Motion Ad

Some say Top Gear is the coolest TV show on planet Earth bar none and the best thing to happen to humanity since sliced bread.

Some also say that JC (Jeremy Clarkson's initials) is an overrated, grossly overpaid and obnoxious bloke who has insulted almost every ethnicity and minority one can think of, and then some, but in spite of all this, he has made a fortune out of being… well, obnoxious (and, obviously, very smart).

ESC Off: Jeremy Clarkson’s “Lapses of Editorial Judgment” Still Yield him More than US$16 Million

When it comes to British motoring journalist and presenter of the Top Gear TV show Jeremy Clarkson, there’s no middle ground: you either love him or hate him; or, most likely, you love to hate him.

Whatever you may think of the man, you have to admit that his controversial comments have been one of the main ingredients that have made Top Gear the world’s most successful car show.

It’s true that JC doesn’t give a dime (though he could afford to…) about political correctness or BBC’s guidelines. In fact, he does have quite a record of “regrettable lapses of editorial judgment”, as the BBC Trust puts it.
