Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra Tries Bugatti Veyron On for Size in Lengthy Video

These are good times for those wealthy enough to purchase a hypercar, and despite many regions of the world battling it out with an acute state of economic uncertainty, the market still offers up a wide selection to choose from.

For the more discerning and restrained older customer, there is the Bugatti Veyron – the classic choice, while for the more flamboyant (Oriental) buyer there is the 100th car Koenigsegg has ever built, the suggestively-named Agera S Hundra. Well, actually not this particular one, because its gold-laden interior is going to be used by a wealthy Malaysian collector who commissioned it for himself.

Movie Scoop: Lamborghini, McLaren and Koenigsegg Battle it Out in Need For Speed Film

Now that we've pretty much confirmed that a number of exotic supercars used in the filming of the "Need for Speed" movie in California are replicas from a detailed set of close-up shots, these fresh pictures from our new friends at Mendocinosportsplus (MSP) make a lot more sense – would you ever imagine any movie maker endangering so many rare, multi-million dollar vehicles?

In one scene, we see the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, of which only 20 examples were built in real life, chasing what we assume to be a clone of the all-new McLaren P1 and the a Koenigsegg Agera R in a very tight turn.

Are These Supercars from Need for Speed Movie Just Replicas?

We have to admit that we were really impressed when we saw the kind of machinery the producers of the upcoming "Need for Speed" movie were able to get their hands on – a McLaren P1, Koenigsegg Agera R, Spania GTA, not to mention the more than exclusive Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

However, judging from these new photos that surfaced on the Internet, some of these cars seem to be replicas of the original models. A Reddit user posted close-up shots of the McLaren P1 and Koenigsegg Agera R in which the two hypercars look fake.

New McLaren P1 Spotted at Movie Set for Upcoming Need For Speed Film!

Does the world need another car movie franchise after the long-running Fast & Furious series, the sixth installment of which opens next month, while a seventh (!) film has been fast-tracked for a summer 2014 release?

Well, as they say, it all depends on whom you ask and, naturally, how good the movie is. You can't answer the latter unless you've seen it, but we can tell you that as car enthusiasts, you can count us in for being interested, especially if we're talking about exotics like the McLaren P1

Have You Ever Locked Your Keys Inside Your Car? This Koenigsegg Owner Has…

Most drivers and car owners have had at least one unpleasant experience when they somehow manage to lock their keys inside the car, without them actually being inside. The reasons are many, but most common are central locking systems with a mind of their own, being in a real hurry or just plain lack of awareness. Read more »

Koenigsegg Celebrates 100th Car Built in 10 Years With One-Off Hundra Special

Starting a car company is a task for the brave at heart. Christian von Koenigsegg’s achievement is even more admirable as, after only 10 years, he has managed to shift 100 of the ultra-fast, and ultra-expensive, hypercars that bear his name.

To commemorate the event the Swedish company decided that the 100th production car built, an Agera S destined for a well-off client based in Hong Kong, would be something special and would be unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

One-Off Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra Heads to the Geneva Motor Show

While mainstream manufacturers build several hundred cars per hour, it takes small low production volume automakers like Sweden's Koenigsegg years to reach triple-digit figures. However, some ten years after they began customer deliveries, Koenigsegg has made its one-hundredth car. Read more »

Koenigsegg Boss Walks us Through the Agera R Supercar's Painting Process

One of the good things about small-volume supercar manufacturers like Pagani or Koenigsegg is that, unlike bigger companies, you can get their bosses themselves to walk you through their cars.

Understandably, Luca di Montezemolo is too busy running the business to explain himself the details of the clear coat on the F12berlinetta. Horacio Pagani or Christian von Koenigsegg, on the other hand, can spare the time since their production is just a small fraction of that of Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Londoners Enraged by Arab Supercar Invasion, Deeply Annoyed by Their Behavior

Britain, like the rest of Europe, is facing a recession. Gulf States’ economies, on the other hand, are growing by around 6 percent a year. Add in the fact that the latter are the single largest producer of crude oil in the world and you can easily see why exotic supercars are flying out of the showrooms.

In Dubai, there’s a 20-month waiting list for the US$525,000 Lamborghini Aventador. It’s not just the Lambo: in the Gulf region, there’s every kind of supercar you can think of – and then some more.

Once a year, in the summer, many young affluent Arabs fly their hot wheels 3,000 miles away to London so that they can enjoy certain things that are forbidden in their homeland.

Best Sports Car Sounds of 2012 Video is 12 Minutes of Pure Aural Awesomeness

As another year reaches an end – there's only 19 days left – many of us reflect on all things done in that passing year.

For YouTube channel owner and auto enthusiast Marchetinno, it’s all about the great sports cars he managed to capture on camera.

In particular, Marchetinno compiled a 12-minute long video with the best sports- and super-car sounds, ranging from pocket rockets like the Abarth 500 to the Swedish exotic Koenigsegg Agera R and pure racing models such as the Porsche 911 GT3 and F1 cars.

This Ain't Your Grandpa's Ford Granada but a 1,700hp Koenigsegg CCX Powered Zzzleeper…

There's nothing really special about the second generation of the European Ford Granada that was built from 1977 to 1985, which is probably why one owner in Britain chose it for a sleeper project.

Putting aside a handful of 1980s aero bits, the only other interesting bit about the exterior of this Granada are the Zzz-Zzz license plates.

Pop up the hood, however, and it's an entirely different story as this puppy has been fitted with 4.7-liter Ford V8 sourced from a Koenigsegg CCX supercar that is good for a whopping 1,700-horsepower!

Accelerating Koenigsegg CCX Scares Woman in Monaco

While some would be filled with joy if they heard the screeching sounds of an accelerating Koenigsegg CCX's twin-supercharged V8, others, like this young woman in Monaco, could be in for a fright.

A short but entertaining video follows after the break.
