It’s not only Porsche itself that is celebrating the 911's 50th anniversary this year, as a number of tuners have also jumped in on the festive bandwagon. Germany's Cam-Shaft says it's honoring the nameplate's golden anniversary with the release of a special package for the 997-generation (built from 2005 through 2011) 911 Turbo. Read more »

Cam-Shaft Proposes New Transparent Polyurethane Foil to Protect Your Car's Paint

As they say, nothing lasts forever and from the moment your vehicle rolls off the assembly line, the decay process begins.

And while there's no to stop your vehicle from being damaged by the elements of nature or human hand, German foil specialist Cam-Shaft has a little something that promises to offer an additional layer of protection and delay the process.

That something is a new transparent foil that covers and protects the most exposed parts of a car's body. Unlike conventional color wraps, this new adhesive foil is not made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride), but PU (polyurethane), which the company says is a softer and more absorbent material originally created for the airline industry to protect propellers and rotor blades from foreign objects.

CAM SHAFT Prepares Renault Clio RS for Nürburgring Adventures

As one of Europe's finest hot hatches, the Renault Clio RS Mk3 (pre-facelift) feels right at home at the Nürburgring racetrack, so much so that German aftermarket firm Cam Shaft decided to create a tuning package for the French pocket rocket loosely inspired by the 'Ring taxis.

The first few things you will notice about Cam Shaft's Clio RS is the matt Graphite Metallic wrap accentuated by green splashes and some cheeky writings such as the "MOVE RIGHT >>" sticker on the windshield and the "International –explicit- Crew" logo on the bottom of the front doors.

Cam Shaft Does its Styling Thing on the BMW M3 Coupe

German styling house Cam Shaft has wrapped up (literally) work on its latest project car based on the current generation of the BMW M3 Coupe.

Being a company that specializes on car wraps, the highlight of Cam Shaft's M3 tune is the mat space-gray metallic foiling that costs €1,785 (US$2,230, including 19 percent VAT/Tax) for the body and an extra €715 (US$890) to cover other visible areas of the coupe such as the door and cabin surrounds.

Cam-Shaft Gives the Lotus Esprit V8 a Power Boost and a JPS Styling Treatment

The Esprit is one of the most famous and longest-living Lotus models ever having remained in production for close to three decades (!), from 1976 to 2004. Originally penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Esprit's design was freshened up initially by Peter Stevens in 1987 and later on by Julian Thompson in 1993.

Another landmark in the Esprit's lifespan was the presentation of a V8-powered model in 1996, the first of its kind for Lotus. Aptly named the Esprit V8, the British sports car was powered by an in-house developed, all-aluminum, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V8 rated at 350hp (355PS) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft).

And it is this model that has fallen into the tuning hands of Germany's Cam-Shaft, which has introduced a new package with both styling and performance modifications.

A series of under-the-hood upgrades that include a software optimization, racing exhaust system, modified turbos and a new intercooler sourced from the Lotus Omega (Vauxhall Lotus Carlton), bump output to 485-horses (492PS). The tuner also replaced the stock 5-speed manual with a new 6-speed transmission.
