Would You Turn Your Nissan 350Z Into a Ferrari California Replica?

Regardless of personal styling preferences, most will agree that the Ferrari California carries a lot more cache than any Nissan model, the older generation 350Z included (just as long as we're talking about a genuine Ferrari).

Still, the first Z coupe of the new millennium has its own special character and a strong following, thanks in part to its handsome styling as well as its sports car performance and handling credentials.

Considering all this, we can safely say that the 350Z isn't exactly a prime candidate as a donor car for a replica build, even if said clone is a Ferrari California.

However, one German company named FGP begs to differ. The replica-car builder and parts supplier has designed a new Ferrari California kit for use on the pre-facelift Nissan 350Z Coupe built from 2002 through 2008.

A Friendly $20 Bet Between Corvette and 350Z at the Drag Strip Turns Sour

Bringing your daily driver over to the drag strip for some (legal) high-speed racing can be fun, but as with any other sports that involves the use of motorized vehicles, there is always the possibility of an accident.

And what started out as a friendly wager between the drivers of a fifth generation Chevrolet Corvette and a Nissan 350Z at the Jefferson Pageland Dragstrip in South Carolina on a July afternoon, didn't end the way they had hoped for.

Watch a Nissan 350Z Street Drift into a Metal Handrail

Just because you own a powerful sports car like the Nissan 350Z that is suitable for drifting, doesn't mean you have the necessary skills to do it, as this driver proved to himself the hard and costly way when he tried to force the Japanese sports car into a turn on a public road – possibly in Russia, if we’re not mistaken.

When you're doing it wrong, all the spoilers and jumbo-sized rear wings in the world won't help you avoid the crash with the 350Z Coupe smashing into the metal handrails on the side of the road.

Iron Man LED Headlamp Conversion for Nissan 350Z

From the "What will they think of next?" file comes our next video of a new styling accessory for the Nissan 350Z Coupe and Roadster models (known as the Fairlady Z in Japan).

Evidently inspired from Hollywood's latest super-hero serving, the creative minds over at ZLeds came up with the bright idea of designing a pair of headlamps and turning signals that are supposed to mimic the lights from Iron Man's metal suite.

We will let you decide if ZLed achieved its goal after you watch the video that follows past the jump.

Senner Tuning Supercharges the Nissan 350Z to 405-Horses

Despite the availability of the newer Nissan 370Z, the 350Z remains a solid choice for enthusiasts looking for a fast and good-looking sports car with rear-wheel drive dynamics.

Now, if for some reason the stock 3.5-liter V6 with 276hp (280PS) and 363Nm (268 lb-ft) of the early 350Zs seems a little too soft for your tastes, German aftermarket firm Senner Tuning has introduced a new performance package for both the coupe and roadster models of the series.
