Awesome Honda Ad Reminds Us Just How Vast Their Operation Really Is

You may remember the Water Car Panther, the Jeep-esque amphibious vehicle which was not built by a large company capable of developing its own motor. Their solution? They used a Honda V6 engine, normally used as the basis for an outboard motor, because the Japanese manufacturer has been making those for long and has had hardly any complaints from what we know. What Would You Call a Cross Between a Honda City and a Chevrolet Camaro?

Adding to the many bizarre replicas found in the jungle that is the online web is this picture of a car, the front end of which apes that of the fifth generation Camaro with a big "H" badge for Honda, instead of a golden Chevrolet-bow-tie emblem. Read more »

Allegedly Real Photos of 2014 Honda Fit – Jazz Surface Online

After the all-new Mazda3 came to life on the web before its official reveal, it's time for another Japanese carmaker to have one of its upcoming models pre-maturely released online – or so we believe, as we're not 100 percent sure yet.

Today, we were tipped off from Shrawan Raja of Indiasautoblog about three screenshots of the next generation Honda Fit sub-compact, which is also marketed as the Jazz in other markets around the world, including Europe, purportedly sourced from an official brochure.

Who's at Fault Here in This Road Rage Curse Fest? [NSFW]

Most of us spend a heck of a lot of time on the road behind the wheel of a car or the handles of a motorcycle. Sometimes we're not in the best of moods, which is when ugly things can happen.

Filmed in the UK from the helmet camera of a motorcyclist, this video shows the squabble between the former and a driver of an older generation Honda Civic saloon on the road, which evolves into a lesson on British curse words (hence the NSFW tag).

Mugen's New Package for Honda Civic Sedan is Only for Asian Markets

If you're all set with the performance aspect of your Civic sedan (be that because it’s already tuned or you just don't care about sprint times and how well it corners), but are looking to spice up its appearance, Honda's tuning partner Mugen has released a new assortment of goods for the ninth generation model sold in Asian markets outside of Japan. Honda Launches New Crider in China Filling the Gap Between Civic and Accord [63 Photos]

The final production version of Honda's all-new Crider middle class sedan landed in the brand's Chinese showrooms today. Designed exclusively for customers in China, Honda's press blurb states that the Crider targets "those who were born in 1980s, known for the energetic pursuit of their dreams".

Whereas last year's Crider Concept not only captured our attention but also managed to impress us if you exclude the overly detailed front end, the real-life model is simply put, a mundane exercise on the Civic formula with a rather awkward looking profile – at least with these wheels and nose.

Hear the VTEC Scream in a POV Test of a Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 is one of the cars I like most, even though I haven't had the chance to drive one myself - yet. I do know enough about the brand, and have driven other Hondas before, to understand what this car is all about, and even after production ceased in 2009, it didn’t stop being the coolest two-seater one could realistically hope to own and run with not a huge amount of cash on hand. Drive of Hydrogen-Powered Honda FCX Illustrates Lack of Refilling Stations in the US

We haven’t heard much about the fuel-cell Honda FCX Clarity since its launch in 2008, despite it being a very important car for the future of motoring, in terms of concept and the way it produces power.

However, in a recent organized drive which was attended by Autonews, one problem became very obvious – there are nowhere near enough hydrogen filling stations in the U.S. in order to make driving such vehicles at least marginally more practical than a battery powered EV, or any other vehicle, for that matter.

NSFW Traffic Distraction and NSFW Way to Clean a Toyota with No Hands

We said it twice in the title and we'll say it one more time; the following two videos from HGHT, which stands for "Hot Girls Hot Things", are not suitable for work (NSFW). If you don't mind that, then by all means, jump through the break to check them out.

The first clip you'll find is called the "Bikini Bangarang" and per the description, "The hot girls of HGHT take over Hollywood and Highland and BANGARANG in nothing but bikinis and a smile". We'll have to assume that few, if any drivers, had objections to the girls temporarily blocking one of the lanes.

Honda Civic Suffers a Crazy Pinball-Like Crash on the Nürburgring

The Nürburgring racetrack may look like a ton of fun when you're driving a virtual car from the comfort and safety of your couch, but there's no reset and return buttons in real life when something goes wrong, only the potential for a lot of pain, life-threatening dangers and a huge hole in your pocket and ego.

After we showed you yesterday's crash with a Toyota GT 86 rent-a-racer, another video surfaced from the Nürburgring, one with a far more dramatic outcome.

Toyota Reclaims Title of World’s Most Valuable Auto Brand from BMW

Toyota has ranked first among automakers in the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study released by market research company Millward Brown. The Japanese carmaker has overtaken last year’s best ranks car manufacturer, BMW.

Toyota’s 2013 brand value rose 12 percent to $24.5 billion (€19.03 billion), mainly due to its significant inroads in the hybrid market, the study said. The Japanese automaker ranked 23rd amongst all brands, while came in behind at No.24. The German carmaker’s brand value lost 2 percent to $24 billion (€18.65 billion)) compared to last year, with the reason for this being the lack of new product launches compared with past years.

What Were You Doing in High School? Certainly Not Converting a Honda S2000 into a 920 hp EV

The Honda S2000 is one of the last great modern sports cars built. That means it’s a good base to start a project on, however, throwing away the incredibly rev-hungry two-liter engine, which up until the introduction of the Ferrari 458 Italia, had the highest horsepower per liter for a naturally aspirated production unit, is not something we would immediately consider doing. Were These Street Racers Really Chased by a Police Helicopter?

Hoon Racers Chased by Police Helicopter
Real life Fast and Furious-style gatherings and street races are nothing new and in fact, it’s probably wrong to use that term as they precede the fictitious movie franchise by several decades.

Cops making their appearance to disband these gatherings and even arrest hoons when they break the law, is just part of the cat and mouse game that goes on between officers and racers. The video that follows comes from one such meeting and it bears the title "Honda Civic Race Chase By Police Helicopter".

Honda Coming Back to Formula 1 in 2015 as an Engine Supplier to McLaren!

After exiting the Formula One grid in 2008, Honda confirmed its return to the sport on Thursday. The Japanese automaker's motorsports division will revive one of the most successful F1 partnerships of modern times, as it will return in 2015 as an engine supplier to the McLaren F1 team.

The two manufacturers enjoyed great success in the past during the late 1980s and early 1990s with drivers Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost winning eight world championships and 44 grands prix, while also taking 53 pole positions and setting 30 fastest laps.
