What Would You Call a Cross Between a Honda City and a Chevrolet Camaro?

Adding to the many bizarre replicas found in the jungle that is the online web is this picture of a car, the front end of which apes that of the fifth generation Camaro with a big "H" badge for Honda, instead of a golden Chevrolet-bow-tie emblem. Read more »

This is the New Transformer 4's 2014 Camaro Bumblebee Concept

Only hours after our spies piqued our curiosity with a boatload of far-away shots from the filming set of Transformers 4 at the GM Proving Ground facility in Michigan, and which included the new Bumblebee, Michael Bay did it again and dropped an official photo of the car. Read more »

Scoop: Transformers 4 Robots Undisguised, Including New Camaro Bumblebee [33 Photos]

The best thing about the Transformers movie series is catching a glimpse of the new vehicle characters before the film hits theaters. According to some, the worst thing is actually watching the movies, though, opinions may vary on this one….

Back to the pre-viewing part of this story, while cruising around GM's Proving Grounds center in Michigan in search for prototypes, our spies were surprised to see a filming crew for the upcoming Transformers 4 blockbuster, and together, an assortment of new Autobots, including the new Bumblebee dressed in a 2014 Camaro Coupe suite.

Besides the trademark yellow and black color scheme, the new Bumblebee model sports a slightly different front end than the facelifted 2014 Camaro with an even tighter grille and headlamp assembly plus a restyled bumper, along with a fixed rear spoiler, a grounds kit and a vented rear bumper.

GM Says, Happy 60th Anniversary Corvette!

On June 30, 2013, the Chevrolet Corvette celebrates its 60th anniversary, but America’s favorite sports car is nowhere near the retirement age.

To mark the anniversary, Chevrolet has released some key facts about the Corvette’s history, and some of them are really interesting. For instance, did you know that the Corvette is the world’s longest-running, continuously produced passenger car nameplate? The longest-running vehicle of any type is also a Chevrolet, the Suburban.

The Ultimate Barn Find: Chevrolet Dealership Is Unearthed Decades After It Was Locked Up

This has to be one of the most improbable barn find in years: a former Chevrolet dealership from Nebraska that had been locked for decades has been opened so that employees of an auction company could assess the inventory.

Their surprise couldn’t have been greater: among the 500 vehicles that formed Lambrecht Chevrolet’s inventory were 50 “brand new” cars, such as a 1956 Chevrolet Cameo pickup truck with only 1 mile on the odometer, a 1964 Chevrolet Impala with 4 miles, a 1978 Corvette with 4 miles, a 1960s Chevrolet Corvair with 17 miles and many more.

All these cars still have their window stickers and plastic on the seats, so there’s a good chance they will regain their brand new look once the dust is removed and a mechanical check is done (provided that rust hasn’t crept into the bodywork).

Chevy Driver Knock Down Bikers Who Then Get…Ticketed for Reckless Driving in Vegas

A dangerous ride that took place in and around the McCarran Airport Connector Tunnel in Las Vegas last week was captured on a motorcycle rider's helmet mounted camera.

In the video we see a silver Chevrolet Cavalier sedan driving among a group of motorcyclists who themselves had spread out on all lanes of the road. After clipping one of the bikers, he continues to drive recklessly and eventually, hits and knocks down two motorcyclists in the tunnel.

Consumer Reports Finds Chevy Equinox Adequate, But a Bit Behind the Times

Car buyers looking for a vehicle which feels rugged, is simple to use and can take them from A to B in safety and relative comfort are not usually interested in quirky styling cues, or other similar touches which have no functional role, concentrating on the practical issues.

For me, the Chevy Equinox neatly fits into the category, as it’s inoffensive to look at and it’s average-sized (between a compact SUV like a Toyota RAV4 and a full-sized one like a Cadillac Escalade).

2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 Goes from 0 to 60 in 3.8 Sec, Sustains 1.03 g in Cornering

One thing you should know about GM, is that when it comes to new cars, it loves to spread out information over a period of months even after the presentation, but before launch, to keep the buzz going.

After learning about pricing for both the coupe and convertible versions of the Corvette Stingray in late April, the output numbers of the LT1 V8 in late May, and European MSRPs earlier this week, GM has announced some new performance related numbers.

GM Says Cruze Diesel’s Overboost Feature Puts It on Par with Camaro Z28...from 1972

The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel uses a turbocharging feature called “overboost” which shortly lifts torque for better acceleration. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine delivers 151 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque (358 Nm), but overboost can increase peak torque to 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) for about 10 seconds of stronger acceleration. GM compares it with the equivalent torque delivered by the 1972 Camaro Z28’s heavier 5.7-liter V8. Read more »

Future Cars: Chevrolet Cruzes Into Gear for 2015 with New Corolla and Focus Rival

In the past, General Motors offerings in the small car segment had often people scratching their heads; dismal quality, performance and awkward styling were only just some of the negative headlines.

However fast forward to 2013 and one will find the Chevrolet Cruze has been a godsend for GM after the rather average Cobalt that it replaced. Squaring the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus straight in the headlights, it's been a sales success. In fact, it's hard to believe that after only going on sale in the States in 2010, that its successor is well under development. Then again, it was presented in 2008 in other markets, so it is time for a new model

GM Prices New Commodore-Based 2014 Chevrolet SS V8 from $44,470

Do you miss the Pontiac G8 and can't find a decent used example? GM has you covered as it has re-introduced the revised version of the Holden Commodore-based sports sedan in the States in the guise of the new 2014 Chevrolet SS, pricing of which was announced today before it goes on sale in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Available exclusively in the United States (sorry Canada) with a 6.2-liter V8 paired to a 6-speed automatic (sorry manual gearbox fans), the SS carries an MSRP of $44,470, including a $995 destination charge, which makes it cheaper than a similarly powered BMW 5-Series model, but on the same level as the smaller and less powerful 300hp 335i sedan ($44,075 with destination).

He describes his own unfortunate experience at the wheel of the range-extender hybrid, when it accelerated on its own and required some effort to bring to a halt safely.

We will let Gm-volt.com member "lsteiner" tell his story, first:

Chevrolet Unveils 2014 Malibu with Cosmetic, Space and Engine Tweaks

When an automaker releases a facelift for a model that has only been on the market for less than a year, it means it’s not happy with the way the public and the press alike received said car. This is the case with General Motors and the 8th generation Chevrolet Malibu that was introduced in the States in the second half of 2012.

General Motors rushed to update the Malibu for the 2014 model year with some light styling changes, while also improving interior space, and tweaking its powertrains and chassis.
