Two Russian Women Wonder What Went Wrong

Here's a double Russian dashcam treat for you. Each of the two separate incidents that were caught on camera involve drivers who happen to be women and who are scratching their heads after they ended up crashing their cars. Read more »

Who's at Fault Here in This Road Rage Curse Fest? [NSFW]

Most of us spend a heck of a lot of time on the road behind the wheel of a car or the handles of a motorcycle. Sometimes we're not in the best of moods, which is when ugly things can happen.

Filmed in the UK from the helmet camera of a motorcyclist, this video shows the squabble between the former and a driver of an older generation Honda Civic saloon on the road, which evolves into a lesson on British curse words (hence the NSFW tag).

Hear the VTEC Scream in a POV Test of a Honda S2000

The Honda S2000 is one of the cars I like most, even though I haven't had the chance to drive one myself - yet. I do know enough about the brand, and have driven other Hondas before, to understand what this car is all about, and even after production ceased in 2009, it didn’t stop being the coolest two-seater one could realistically hope to own and run with not a huge amount of cash on hand. NSFW Traffic Distraction and NSFW Way to Clean a Toyota with No Hands

We said it twice in the title and we'll say it one more time; the following two videos from HGHT, which stands for "Hot Girls Hot Things", are not suitable for work (NSFW). If you don't mind that, then by all means, jump through the break to check them out.

The first clip you'll find is called the "Bikini Bangarang" and per the description, "The hot girls of HGHT take over Hollywood and Highland and BANGARANG in nothing but bikinis and a smile". We'll have to assume that few, if any drivers, had objections to the girls temporarily blocking one of the lanes.

Honda Civic Suffers a Crazy Pinball-Like Crash on the Nürburgring

The Nürburgring racetrack may look like a ton of fun when you're driving a virtual car from the comfort and safety of your couch, but there's no reset and return buttons in real life when something goes wrong, only the potential for a lot of pain, life-threatening dangers and a huge hole in your pocket and ego.

After we showed you yesterday's crash with a Toyota GT 86 rent-a-racer, another video surfaced from the Nürburgring, one with a far more dramatic outcome.

What Were You Doing in High School? Certainly Not Converting a Honda S2000 into a 920 hp EV

The Honda S2000 is one of the last great modern sports cars built. That means it’s a good base to start a project on, however, throwing away the incredibly rev-hungry two-liter engine, which up until the introduction of the Ferrari 458 Italia, had the highest horsepower per liter for a naturally aspirated production unit, is not something we would immediately consider doing. Were These Street Racers Really Chased by a Police Helicopter?

Hoon Racers Chased by Police Helicopter
Real life Fast and Furious-style gatherings and street races are nothing new and in fact, it’s probably wrong to use that term as they precede the fictitious movie franchise by several decades.

Cops making their appearance to disband these gatherings and even arrest hoons when they break the law, is just part of the cat and mouse game that goes on between officers and racers. The video that follows comes from one such meeting and it bears the title "Honda Civic Race Chase By Police Helicopter".

Watch Comparo Between the Scion FRS, Mazda RX-8 and Honda S2000 - Which One Do You Like?

Our obsession with everything new and cutting-edge is a very damaging one, simply because it limits our horizon in so many ways. For instance, why would you buy a Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS when there are two perfectly good (older) sports cars that share all the right ingredients – front engine, rear wheel drive and excellent dynamics?

The two models I'm talking about are the smooth Mazda RX-8 (find out all you need to know about it here) and the screaming Honda S2000, which is my personal favorite, because I still think it looks good and sounds even better. All three cars were pitted against one another by Everyday Driver, and in the end a winner was chosen.

More Extreme Driving Around the ‘Ring in the Blue Honda Civic Type-R

We recently posted an article that featured an attached video showing a very brave driver and his Honda Civic Type-R, keeping up with a Nissan GT-R, on the banked twists and turns of the Nurburgring Nordschleife. It was a really impressive piece of driving, and showed just what it means for a good driver to get used to his/her car over time. Read more »

Drift King Compares Philosophy Behind Honda NSX to that of Ferrari’s F430

Aside from a very insightful opinion into what makes a sports car great, by comparing an old Honda NSX to a Ferrari F430, the so-called "Drift King", Keiichi Tsuchiya, can also drive both of these cars closer to the limit than most of us could ever dream of. This is probably going to be some of the best onboard driving footage you’ve seen recently, all thanks to the all-important footwell camera, which captures each heel-and-toe downshift and really shows the skill that goes into it. A Video Tribute to Ayrton Senna and the Honda / Acura NSX

One of the saddest moments in the history of Formula 1, and motorsports in general, was the death of the great Ayrton Senna on May 1, 1994, after the Brazilian pilot's Williams F1 crashed into a concrete barrier during the San Marino Grand Prix at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Italy.

If you happened to have noticed the date today, it's May 1, which means it's been precisely 19 years since the legendary F1 pilot's untimely death.

Watch a Tuned Honda Civic Type-R Keep Up with Nissan GT-R on the ‘Ring

If there’s one thing we like here at Carscoops it’s exciting on-board footage from the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Even more so those videos where you think the driver is completely mad, driving something not particularly fast (at first glance) and keeping up with, and passing other more powerful cars, in a heroic attempt to prove that a modified model can compete with something that was purpose-built to go fast. Honda Proposes New Concept M Minivan to Chinese Buyers in Shanghai [w/Video]

When it comes to practical people-carriers, Chinese consumers usually turn to small commercial vehicles these days, but Honda thinks it can open the local market to passenger minivans.

Like many other studies shown at the Auto China 2013 in Shanghai, the Honda Concept M is also intended for production with the Japanese carmaker stating it is aiming for a market introduction as early as next year.

Crazy Driver Plays Real Life GTA in Hong Kong

If you're into cars and video games, you've likely heard of the Grand Theft Auto (GTA for short) franchise where you can steal vehicles (and pay the services of prostitutes, but that’s another story…) and act like a genuine thug on the road, crashing and smashing into anything that comes your way, all in the safety of your home. This is what one man did - not in a game, though, but in real-life Hong Kong. Read more »

Jackie Chan Would be Proud of these Two Road Rage Fellas

Ah, another day, another pair of irritated motorists. We're told by our tipster Clement that this incident took place in Asia, likely in Taiwan, though, he wasn't sure, and neither are we due to the low quality of the video. Read more »

Driver Flips Honda Fit/Jazz Seven Times and Walks Away!

The level of safety offered by automobiles has really gone up considerably in the last decades, and we have now reached a point where all cars, even the cheapest and smallest of them, are able to protect their occupants in the most severe and violent of crashes. Just check out this video, shot in Alabama, in December of 2012. Read more »

2013 Honda Civic Unflustered by Small Overlap Test – Named IIHS Top Safety Pick+

The introduction of the controversial Small Overlap Test into the regular battery of assessments through which all US-bound cars must pass in order to earn their stars (preferably five of them) had a direct effect on these cars' ratings.

Its introduction raised questions as to whether the automakers were making cars safe for actual people to ride in, or if they were just engineering their cars to do very well in the standard tests, but not generally excel at it.

Honda Urban SUV Concept Debuts in Detroit, Previews Small Crossover Due in 2014 [Updated]

The Honda Urban SUV Concept made its world premiere today at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show. According to the Japanese automaker, its styling, which features clean, taut lines and “hidden” rear door handles, hints at a new small SUV that will be launched at the end of the year in Japan and in 2014 in North America.

Measuring 4,300 mm (169.3 in) long, the new small SUV is 23 cm (9 in) shorter than the compact CR-V, under which it will slot in Honda’s crossover line-up.

Honda Gets its Mojo Back: Consumer Reports Puts 2013 Accord on Top of its Class

Despite the (in)famous 2012 Civic episode, there seems to be no bad feelings between Honda and Consumer Reports (CR). The publication may have dropped the 2012 Civic from its recommended list pressuring for a quick redesign, but Honda can relax as far as its U.S. market best-seller is concerned.

In fact, it may even smile as CR has put the 2013 Accord at the top of its class in four-cylinder guise while it notes that the V6 version is “challenging the Toyota Camry for the top spot” in its ratings.
