I know everyone says how fun the tail-happy Toyota is to drive, but doesn’t speed matter at all for all the GT86’s fans? If I were to buy a €29,000 ($37,990) rear-wheel drive sports car, I wouldn’t like it to be slower than a less-powerful €20,000 ($26,200) front-wheel drive hot hatch. The first clip you'll find is called the "Bikini Bangarang" and per the description, "The hot girls of HGHT take over Hollywood and Highland and BANGARANG in nothing but bikinis and a smile". We'll have to assume that few, if any drivers, had objections to the girls temporarily blocking one of the lanes.

As it stands, there's only a sedan version of the Corolla, while Toyota has no current plans for replacing the Matrix hatchback, which pegs the question whether the company should offer more body styles in North America, like many of its competitors – i.e. Honda sells the Civic in Sedan and Coupe iterations, while Ford offers the Focus in Sedan and Hatchback flavors.

Adding to these voices now is a high-ranking Toyota executive, and in particular, the brand's incoming chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada, who will soon replace Fujio Cho. Uchiyamada said he'd like the BMW co-developed sports car to be midsize vehicle "comparable" to the obsolete Supra, during an interview yesterday in Japan, according to Bloomberg News.

Toyota had prepared us for the Corolla's looks with the Furia concept at the Detroit motor show this year, but if you were expecting the same sported up and hunkered down stance, you'll be disappointed. That's not to say the new Corolla isn't more interesting to look at on the outside than the outgoing model, but that doesn't say much, does it now…
There are many styling influences from the much larger Avalon, both on the outside, especially up front with five point lower grille and the standard LED headlamps, and even more inside with the dashboard that looks far more premium and interesting than that of the previous generation Corolla.
The renewed interior design is matched to a more spacious passenger cabin, courtesy of a 3.93-inch (99.8 mm) longer wheelbase at 106.3-inches (2,700mm), which Toyota says helps offer a rear seat area that is 2.95-inches (75mm) longer than the previous model.

We've already seen renderings of Toyota's compact sedan model trying to be passed on as real photos, so understandably, we're not going to jump into any conclusions yet about this new image that was sent to us by Miro Mihalik from the Czech website Autoweb. Miro said that it is the first picture of the European specification Corolla.

The unnamed motorists who was captured on camera at the Nürburgring racetrack by a YouTube user "Automobilchannel" was behind the wheel of a Toyota GT 86 (marketed as the Scion FR-S in North America) rent-a-racer when he came into a turn a little too fast and continued straight into the grass before face-lifting the Japanese coupe on the metal railings.

It all happened earlier this week when a Toyota pickup truck driver was performing the traditional tire-warm up procedure by sprinting back and forth. Unfortunately for the Toyota driver, he forgot to get the gearbox out of reverse the last time he did it before the race, so once it started, instead of going forward…he went backwards!
