eBay: Own The Lime-Green Mitsubishi Evo that Paul Walker Drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious

If you ask me, the second movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, called "2 Fast 2 Furious", was by no means a worthy successor to the original. The choice of cars was silly (pink convertible Mitsubishi Eclipse among others), and so were the incoherent plot and contrived story. Read more »

Rally-Ready Citroen DS Short Wheelbase Coupe Is As Cool / Funny As French Gets

The Citroen DS was a very advanced car for its day, and for what it achieved in its day and age, it is a highly commendable result. Imagine a modern automaker pushing forward the idea of the car today, as much as it did – the result would probably need wings. Read more »

BMW 2002 with a Wide Booty and 5.0-Liter Mustang V8 Up for Grabs on eBay

If classic car ownership is what you’re interested in, then perhaps you should look elsewhere…This piece focuses on a BMW 2002 from 1969 that has been painted a very strange two-tone combination of olive green and brown, which does nothing to hide the huge flared wheel arches.

The car's interior has been stripped out, literally, and what is left can only be called minimalist – it’s not eye catching in any way, but you won’t have time to check out the hole where the dash was supposed to be, because this car packs a 5.0-liter V8 engine from a Ford Mustang that breathes out through matte-white side pipes!

1958 Fiat Multipla with Abarth Engine Parts and "Double the Power" on eBay…for $67,500

The price of certain old cars naturally goes up over the years, and if you are any good at speculating, you could probably make a few honest bucks doing this for a living.

For instance, you can take a 1958 Fiat 600 Multipla, restore it to its original condition, then garner it with some nice original Abarth engine components, which make it produce a lot more power from its basic standard engine, then charge $67,500 for it and try shifting it on eBay.

This is One Very, Very Bizarre eBay Ad for a Mercedes E320 CDI

If you are like us and visit online auctions sites such as eBay on a regular basis, you are bound to stumble upon the occasional strange find, but that usually has to do more with the car itself than anything else and yet, as they say, there's always that exception that makes the rule…

In this case, it's a UK ad from eBay for a run-of-the mill 2000 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI with a voluminous lady posing around the car and even…in the German saloon's boot.

MG XPower SV-R Pops Up for Sale in Germany

The story of the MG XPower SV-R begins with the De Tomaso Biguá, a front-engined V8-powered coupe designed by Marcello Gandini. It was the fruit of a joint effort between De Tomaso Automobili and another small Italian automaker, Qvale.

However, just as deliveries of the cars were commencing, the two companies decided they did not want to do business any more, and the latter took over the manufacturing business, but weren’t allowed to use the name – it ended up being called the Qvale Mangusta, hinting at its De Tomaso roots.

Get Your Very Own 1980 Lada 2101 in the US, Price is Mounting Up on eBay, Though…

Chances of you having seen a real-life Lada on the road in the US are very slim, because they were only brought over as private imports, so they are extremely sparse Stateside.

However, you can own a mint example of a 1980 Lada 2101, which is up for grabs on eBay, and while you won’t enjoy the best of driving dynamics or comfort features, your ride will stand out with its...ahem...Italian styling since it was based on a Fiat.

Have $9,200 to Spare? How About this 184 HP Renault Super 5 GT Turbo from eBay

The French are renowned for making great hot hatches, and aside from the selection of modern examples of the genre, there are also a great deal of classic ones to choose from.

A Renault Super 5 GT Turbo (which in some ways, is being revived by the next Twingo) would be a quirky left-field choice, especially in the US and Canada, which is why this red example from eBay looks like a tempting buy.

Get Your Very Own Peel P50 Replica from eBay and Pretend You're Jeremy Clarkson

The Peel P50 gained international acknowledgement when Jeremy Clarkson drove one through the BBC offices during an older episode of Top Gear. This was possible because the P50, which was originally built on the Isle of Mann in the 1960s, is minute even when comparing it to our smallest of modern automobiles – Japanese Kei cars are massive in comparison.

It used to hold the record for being the smallest production car in the world, but it has been dethroned. Now you can own one for yourself, if you have $26,000 with which are willing to part. It is expensive, but it is also new and modern, as it is in fact, a replica built in the UK by Modern Microcars.

Wow for the Car, Boo for the Price: 1992 Mercedes 500E Built by Porsche with Only 10k Miles!

Of all the high-performance sedans to come out of Europe over the past few decades, the 1990-1995 Mercedes-Benz 500E (renamed to E500 in 1994) must be one of the most understated and to some extent, under-appreciated models.

Due to the limited production numbers, finding one these days, isn't easy, let alone a stock version with just 10,000 miles (16,000km) on the odometer, like the one I discovered for sale on eBay today.

Like this 1964 AMC Rambler 550, which less fancy than other cars of its era, but it still has its own adepts, as do all cool rides from ages past.

A 72-Year-Old CEO's 2013 Chrysler 300 is "Amazing" and "Like No Other"

Each decade has its own style and flavors, and even though certain fashion trends come back in style from time to time, we think that some things are better left in the past. Of course, that's our opinion and you may freely disagree with it.

We're told this 2013 Chrysler 300 sedan that we found on eBay was "custom factory built for a retiring 72 year old entrepreneur" and CEO, who obviously had some fond automotive memories from the 1970s and 1980s.

That's One Helluva Strange Bimmer: 1982 BMW M35 Speedster

While poking around on eBay today we found this ambiguous 1982 BMW 320i that doesn't know if it wants to be a junior 633CSi Cabriolet from the Back the Future 2 flick, a poor man's track racer or a homemade M3 wannabe. Perhaps it's all three in one…

The owner of the car removed the roof and cut around two-thirds of the windshield and A-pillars, adding M3 E30-like fender extensions, a hood scoop, front and rear spoilers and a roll cage, while also partially stripping out the interior – for some unexplainable reason, the unusable rear seat bench and door panels were left intact.

eBay Find: Peugeot 404 Up for Sale after Sitting for More than 25 Years

Here’s another cool car from the world of eBay. It’s a Peugeot 404, from 1968, which had been in storage more than 25 years. The seller explains, “This 404 has been stored in a garage since 1985. The original owner purchased this car new in 1968 and drove it about 106k miles and then parked it in their garage in 1985, where it has sat until I retrieved it last week.”

He goes on to say that, the car is solid, with rust only coming in around the right headlight. The interior is praised for its originality and lack of visible wear, especially on the seats that apparently need a good cleaning and should look good.

1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 "Specially Prepared for Bill Cosby" Found on eBay

How much money are you willing to spend on a classic coupe from the 1970s? When you’re talking about a four-seater Ferrari with a V12 engine, the 365 GT4 2+2, and a famous previous owner, this one should exceed $20,000 (reserve has not been met at $15,000). Read more »

eBay Barn Find: 1961 Jaguar Mk. II 3.8-Liter from Pennsylvania

Cars are cool, and they garner up so much interest from blokes (and gals) around the world not only because they represent impressive technical achievements, but also because of the human aspect – the story behind them. This is generally applied to each automaker that has managed to carve itself a place on the market and stay there, but it can also be applied to any specific car that has a particularly interesting history behind it.

This means that any vehicle has the potential to become cool, even if it is widely acknowledged as being a bad one - if it’s upon hearing its history you are somehow emotionally touched, then it’s a winner.

eBay Find: 1980 Mazda RX-7 GS

If you want to save yourself a lot of hassle in choosing an old sports car to drive around, there’s nothing wrong with going Japanese. Like this fairly clean first-gen 1980 Mazda RX-7 GS we found on eBay, which is said to be both mechanically sound and good to look at, according to its owner who bought it from “a friend of the original owner.”

Nevertheless, as with any used car and especially one fitted with a rotary engine, it would be wise to have a mechanic check it out and eliminate any nasty and costly surprises.

What Do You Say About This 1973 Citroen SM Coupe That's For Sale on eBay?

Seeing a Citroen SM on the roads of Europe is a treat, because these cars are by no means common, due to their specialist status, the relative low number in which they were built, and the high associated acquisition and restoration prices.

If you live in the US, chances are you’ll never see one, because not that many were imported and, like the car we are about to show you, plenty are kept in storage, slowly decaying away.

Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR for a Cool Two Million on eBay

If the current crop of hypercars is not interesting enough, there is also the category of older cars that are actually very fast, even by modern standards of performance - like this 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, one of the few real “racing cars for the road.”

Now, a perfect example has just popped up on eBay, where it can be acquired for precisely $1,995,980 – the $500 deposit shouldn’t be a problem for any of the serious buyers looking at this car…

Dealer Kept Brand New 1996 Nissan 300ZX Coupe with Only 144 Miles on the Odo in Showroom!

At the end of the 1980s, Nissan presented a successor to its 300ZX Z31 with a new model that was one of many sports cars to come out from the land of the Rising Sun during that period and through the 1990s, which many rightfully consider as the golden decade for Japanese performance and sports cars.

The 300ZX Z32 (called Fairlady in Japan) gained many awards, including Motor Trend's "Import Car of the Year" in 1990, and was very successful, despite edging closer to a grand tourer than an outright sports car in terms of handling and performance, at least in stock form and compared to, let's say, the Mazda RX-7 or Nissan's replacement, the 350Z.
