OMG! Seriously? A New Jersey Girl's Annoying Tornado Experience [NSFW]

Seriously...now; how many OMGs – that's "Oh my God" in text language for the uninitiated- can you fit in a video that's about a minute and some spare seconds long? Well, one young girl from New Jersey named "Ashley Castore" managed to jam in about 20 OMGs, though, to be completely frank, we kind of lost track when she went into rap mode in the middle of the video. Hyundai Apologizes for Mocking Suicide in Hyundai ix35 Commercial [w/Video]

Following Ford’s apologies related to its India advertising prints featuring tied-up women, it is now Hyundai’s turn to apologize for the work of an overseas advertising company.

The banned commercial, created by the agency Innocean Europe for Hyundai UK, shows a middle-aged man attempting to commit suicide in a closed garage by leaving the engine running, with a hose connecting the exhaust pipe to the cabin. His attempt fails, though, as the Hyundai ix35 he’s in runs is a fuel-cell version that emits just...water vapors.

Hyundai i10 Almost Makes a Perfect Triple Somersault in Kiev

Not paying attention to the road and what's going on in front of your car can be hazardous for your health. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it, yet some drivers insist on being completely careless.

In this video shot in Kiev, Ukraine, we see drivers slowing down and moving towards the left lane once they detect a stopped truck loaded with cars that appears to have been involved in an accident with a passenger model. Actually, every car except one red hatch, the driver of which speeds on and tries to overtake a Renault Scenic 4x4 and crosses into the other lane.

It's a sEGGway! Hyundai Displays E4U Concept at Seoul Motor Show

It seems that Asian manufacturers area just so much better than the rest of the world at coming up with very weird transportation ideas. The Japanese always seem to be the ones wowing motor show crowds with their contraptions, however the Koreans aren't far behind on the innovation front, or so it would seem. Take this concept from Hyundai, called E4U, which was introduced at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show. Read more »

We Take a Look at the Hyundai Equus' Mitsubishi-Based Predecessor

Hyundai does not really have a history of making luxury cars, but the brand's current S-Class rival from South Korea, the Equus or Centennial, depending on the market, is not the first car of its kind from the manufacturer. It was actually preceded by a front-wheel drive car, which was developed by Mitsubishi, based on the latter's amusingly-named Proudia. Read more »

Hyundai Gets Glitzy with Equus Stretch Limo Designed by Hermes [w/Video]

While Hyundai premiered its restyled 2014 Equus in New York, at the Seoul Motor Show today, the Korean carmaker unveiled a special edition of its limousine, designed in collaboration with Hermes French fashion house "Hermes".

Based on the 2012 model year version, the “Equus by Hermes” is a more luxurious edition of the long-wheelbase model, with the exterior tweaks and the cabin styled and customized by Hermes designers.

Hyundai Debuts 2014 Equus, Which it Says, is the Number One Shopped Premium Luxury Sedan

Yes, you read right – the Hyundai Equus, which has just debuted in NYC in facelifted form, is the " number-one shopped premium luxury sedan, well ahead of Mercedes-Benz S-Class (really?), BMW 7-Series, Audi A8, Lexus LS, and Jaguar XJ according to industry shopping analysis by Compete," as stated in the Korean carmaker's press blurb.

What that is supposed to mean, or whether it has anything to do with any aspect of reality, we don't know. However, what Hyundai is clearly trying to say - besides the marketing nonsense, is that the Equus has been significantly improved for 2014, in several important ways.

Watch Firefighters Cut Open a Hyundai Elantra to Rescue a Trapped Driver

WARNING: Some readers may find the following video story disturbing.

We can all agree that no one wants to be in a car accident (or any type of accident, for that matter), and certainly no one wants to be trapped in their car if something like this were to happen (knock on wood), but when it does, your best hope for survival are the emergency crews.

Facelifted 2014 Hyundai Centennial aka Equus Stars in New Videos

Hyundai has released a new trio of videos of its updated Centennial, which is just another name for the Equus luxury sedan that will make its U.S. debut in facelifted form at this month's New York Auto Show.

We'll have to wait for specific details for the North American model, but we suspect it will benefit from the same design and technological upgrades as the already available Korean version – also named Equus (the Centennial moniker is used in the Middle East).

Highway Karma Gets Sweet Revenge on Arab Drifters

It's your typical Middle East 'hagwalah' scene (sans the passengers hanging out of the car); a Hyundai Sonata YF drifting between and alongside other cars on the highway, with a couple of other vehicles following on from behind to film the driver's "accomplishments", and by that, we mean putting himself and other drivers in danger. Arabs Drive a Hyundai on Two Wheels and Change a Tire at the Same Time!

Driving an automobile on two wheels is a pretty cool trick, but it's one that has been done over and over again in the past.

Driving a vehicle on two wheels and simultaneously having a passenger open the door to change one of the two tires in the air, now that's something you definitely don't get the chance to see very often.

Hyundai's HCD-14 Concept Hints at the Design of the 2014 Genesis Sedan

Just hours after we posted the first official images of Hyundai’s HCD-14 Genesis concept, the Korean automaker revealed extensive details about its large executive saloon study that premieres at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.

The concept previews many of the design elements that we will see in the upcoming 2014 Genesis mid-size saloon as well as in other future Hyundai models.

Although its dominant feature is the five-bar brushed metal grille, the HCD-14 Genesis also boasts rear-hinged rear doors with a single brushed aluminum hinge articulating diagonally from the cutline making for easier passenger access to the cabin.

While these features may sound a bit overboard, bear in mind that this is a concept, so the rear-hinged doors and (we hope) the gaping grille, at least in this guise, won’t make it into production.

Hyundai Opens Veloster's Roof Like a Tin Can to Create C3 Roll Top Concept [w/Videos]

Gone are the times that carmakers used the terms' convertible' and 'cabriolet' to describe genuine open top models. Nowadays, you have Fiat calling the 500C a convertible and Citroen the DS3 Cabrio, well, a cabriolet, even though both models feature a roll over, cloth sunroof that happens to include the rear window.

We didn’t mention those two models by chance, as Hyundai has also attempted something similar with its new Veloster C3 Roll Top Concept that made its world premiere today at the LA Auto Show.

Hyundai Shows Final Production Version of 6 and 7 Passenger 2013 Santa Fe in L.A. [Photos & Video]

We doubt anyone noticed it, but the three row, long-wheelbase 2013 Santa Fe displayed next to the five-seat 2013 Santa Fe Sport at the New York International Auto Show in April was a prototype. The more spacious Santa Fe model is making its world premiere in final production trim at the Los Angeles Auto Show today. Read more »

Hyundai Sonata YF Suddenly Accelerates Back and Forth in New Korean Incident

There's talk again in South Korea regarding the possibility of the latest iteration of the Hyundai Sonata mid-size saloon having sudden unintended acceleration problems after a new incident that took place in Seoul's Seocho district last Wednesday on October 10, 2012, and which resulted in 10 people being injured.

The latest accident in question involved a brand new Hyundai Sonata YF taxicab that was said to have been only two weeks old.

Video footage sourced from a Mercedes-Benz car that was following the Sonata from behind, shows the taxi slowly moving ahead in traffic when all of a sudden, it accelerated and violently smashed into the car in front.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo gets a Whole Lot Faster for the SEMA Show with 400HP Tune

Over the past few years, Hyundai has participated with zest in all previous SEMA shows with plenty of cars, and it plans to continue doing so at the 2012 edition of the world's biggest aftermarket gathering that takes place in Sin City at the end of this month.

After the ARK Performance- and the Cosworth-prepped Genesis Coupes, the Korean car manufacturer today announced details on a third concept that will debut in SEMA, this one based on the smaller Veloster hatch.

This is the Only Hyundai i20 You Really Want to Drive

The Hyundai i20 is fine for what it is – an affordable, "cookie cutter" supermini with an inoffensive design and all the usual amenities you expect from a modern-day model, but it’s not the kind of car that will excite you.

Unless, that is, we're talking about the racing version that made its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show last week and with which, the South Korean automaker will mark its return to the FIA World Rally Championship.

Hyundai Tries to Catch Star Dust Coming Off Korean Rapper PSY – Does it Make the Equus Look Cooler?

Unless you have been living in a different planet for the past few months, you have probably heard, seen and perhaps some of you have even secretly tried to do the invisible horse dance featured in the wildly popular music clip "Gangman Style" from South Korean rapper PSY – if you haven't, fear not, you can find the video after the jump.

With the music clip having been viewed more than 212 million times as of today, September 18, PSY's latest song has become an internet sensation, something that didn't go unnoticed by Hyundai Motors.

Even though the official video stars a Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster, South Korea's biggest automaker is attempting to position itself near PSY and his "Gangman Style" hit with a photo post on Facebook that shows the 34-year old singer leaning against a California license-plated Equus sedan with a "Swag-o-meter" positioned right beside it.

Hyundai Targets Brazilian Market with New 2013 HB20 Supermini, Confirms Sedan and CUV

With its sights heavily set on increasing its footprint in the growing Brazilian market, Hyundai lifted the covers off a new model named HB20 (HB stands for 'Hyundai Brazil'), with which it will enter the biggest and most competitive segment in the country’s car market.

The HB20 was not only designed for Brazil but it will also be the first model to be produced at Hyundai’s fully-owned new plant in Piracicaba, located in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Production of the sub-compact hatch will begin on September 20, while sales will start in early October.

"For Hyundai, the launch of HB20 means a lot more than simply presenting a new model. Unlike our other models currently offered in Brazil, HB20 is the first model strategically developed and produced exclusively for the Brazilian market," said Chang Kyun Han, President of Hyundai Motors Brazil.
