New Ford Stamping Tech Called F3T Dramatically Cuts Build Time for Prototype and Custom Parts

The task of creating a new automobile, even one that uses a platform common to more than one car, is still a difficult task, and one of the main reasons why few attempt to start from scratch, and even fewer succeed. It eats up massive amounts of resources of all kinds, as well as time, especially in the later stages of the project, when prototype parts are required. Read more »

You Just Won't Believe This Reckless Cop and How This Story Ended

If watching this police car camera footage and more importantly, learning what took place after the incident ended, doesn’t make you angry, then you're probably walking around with a glowing ring over your head…

Off-duty Baton Rouge (Louisiana) police officer David Stewart was driving his patrol car on April 30, 2012, just outside his jurisdiction, when he noticed a Ford F-150 truck driving erratically and nearly twice the 45 mph (72km/h) speed limit. Stewart decided to take action and signaled the truck to pull over. The Ford driver continued to disregard the cop for a few miles, but in the end, he decided to pull over.

Elderly Lady Fogs Out of Luck and Crashes [NSFW]

You know it's a bad sign when a video starts with an elderly passenger asking the elderly driver on the highway "What do you see?" only to get the response "Nothing".

And you can pretty much guess what's going to happen next when the same passenger advises the senior woman driver, "Well turn on your headlights and pull over" to which she replies, "I don't know how"…

Scoop: 2015 Ford Mustang GT Flexes V8 as it Tries to Avoid the Paparazzo

If you're a fan of the manly roar produced by a good 'ol American V8 engine, then you're going to like what you hear in this fresh video that was brought to our attention by the pony car fans over at Mustang6g.

Spy photographers were on the tail of a prototype of the upcoming 2015 Ford Mustang in GT guise, with the tester behind the wheel trying to outrun them, all while keeping it civilized and legal – or so it seems.

Ford Fiesta ST Beats Toyota GT86 on the Track in EVO Test

It’s not the first time the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S) is compared with a front-wheel drive hot-hatch and it’s not the first time it loses when it comes to speed. In this latest test from the UK's EVO magazine, the GT86 proves to be slower round the Bedford Circuit than the Fiesta ST by a significant 1.2 seconds.

I know everyone says how fun the tail-happy Toyota is to drive, but doesn’t speed matter at all for all the GT86’s fans? If I were to buy a €29,000 ($37,990) rear-wheel drive sports car, I wouldn’t like it to be slower than a less-powerful €20,000 ($26,200) front-wheel drive hot hatch. I would probably hate it, to be honest.

Spied: Watch and Hear a 2015 Ford Mustang Prototype on the Road

The time for the world premiere of the new Ford Mustang that not only signals one of the biggest changes in the model's history, but also appropriately coincides with the nameplate's golden anniversary (50 years), is approaching.

Being that we're less than a year away from the official presentation, it shouldn't come as a surprise that we're seeing a greater number of final prototypes making their appearance on the road, like this camouflaged tester of the S550 codenamed Mustang snagged on film here in the U.S. by the crew over at Mustang6g.

Watch a Ford Transit Drive Itself In the Quest for Better Durability

The main problem with factory test drivers is the fact that they are human, and this brings along several limitations to the amount of work that can be done. For instance, some severe durability courses are so tough that drivers are only allowed to tackle them once per day.

Another problem is consistency, as it is virtually impossible to repeat a task multiple times in exactly the same way – a human driver can only be so accurate.

Lowrider Fiesta Doesn't Look So Cool Now, Does It…

There's only so low you can go with your car before it becomes an unmanageable problem – just ask these cheerful at first fellas rolling around in their lowrider Ford Fiesta (possibly the Brazilian market model, if we're not mistaken) looking and acting cooler than a bucket of cucumbers in the Arctic Pole. First Official Video of 2014 Need for Speed Movie

Over the past few months, we've seen photographs (scoops, if you will), and even a couple of videos from the film sets of the Need for Speed movie, which is scheduled for release in March 2014, but they were all shot by fans, nothing official, until earlier today, when Ford shared a picture of the hero car, a specially designed, wide-body 2013 Mustang.

If that picture got your engines running, then the first official video from the makers of the movie will surely hit some high revs.

Do Check Out This Vintage Ford Video About Car Styling Philosophy in the 1960s

Some might say that the passion which used to go into designing and building cars is all-but gone nowadays, when each vehicle is designed to appeal to a very specific clientele, and corners are cut to get costs down and profits up. This results in many cars that look the same, like the freshly-revealed Toyota Corolla, which from the side reminds me of Kia’s Forte sedan. Read more »

POV Test Drive of 2014 Roush Stage 3 Supercharged Ford Mustang

Since the current incarnation of the Ford Mustang is approaching the end of its production run, it means that the car has been improved considerably over the years, and in its current form, even the V6-powered car could be called desirable, because it’s very cheap and has a lot of performance for the cash.

Still, even if you do get a special ‘Stang, it won’t really end up costing an exaggerated amount – this Roush Stage 3, which uses a supercharger to boost the 5.0-liter V8’s power figure to 575 hp, costs $67,830.

Chris Harris Drives the Street-Legal 1.0-Liter EcoBoost Formula Ford Car

There are many cool cars out there, which are made by small teams, either as side projects of major manufacturers or by small brands as their main model.

Chris Harris recently drove two such cars, the Morgan Three Wheeler alongside the Caterham Seven, and now he has done it again, this time behind the wheel of the street-legal Formula Ford racing car, powered by the Blue Oval’s appreciated 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine.

Hennessey Gives Us Another Video Look at its F-150 Based VelociRaptor SUV

Hennessey is hell-bent to keep the fading American motto "bigger is better" alive with creations like the VelociRaptor, which is a Ford F-150 Raptor super crew-cab pick-up truck dressed up as an 8-seater SUV.

We've already seen the VelicoRaptor, but Hennessey released a new video of the SUV with the somewhat misleading title "Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV in Action" – and we say misleading as there's not really much action and when there is, we hear a music background and not the V8's roar.

How Do Europeans View the Ford F-150 Pickup Truck?

The Ford F-150 – or any full-size pickup truck, for that matter – is a rare and ultimately, curious sight in Europe. Owning one certainly requires a major commitment for someone living in the Old Continent, as high fuel prices and very narrow city roads make it particularly difficult to enjoy or even use the F-150 on a daily basis. Foolish Rally Fans Are a Split Second Away from Becoming Roadkill

Remember Group B-era rally footage when fans used to stand on the special stages and then clear the roads seconds before the cars arrived? It looks like this irresponsible behavior continues into 2013, as proven by this footage from the Acropolis Rally in Greece that ended on Sunday. Read more »

Ford Mustang Loses Traction, Takes a Swipe at Porsche 911 During Highway Race

And this is why they don't use real Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis or any other expensive sports cars during the filming of street racing scenes in films like the Fast and Furious or the upcoming Need for Speed flick

B(r)ought to you by the crew from ThatRacingChannel (TRC), who for legal reasons cunningly state that, "The following video was digitally created in Mexico on a closed course," is this incident and almost costly accident that occurred when a heavily modded Ford Mustang drag raced a 997-generation (that’s the previous one) Porsche 911 on a public highway.

Chris Harris Drives the Ford Fiesta ST, Makes Theoretical Comparison to Renault Clio RS

Chris Harris may have driven the new Ford Fiesta ST, but he says that he will wait until he gets behind the wheel of one of its main rivals, the paddle-shifting Renault Clio RS, both on the road and the track, before passing final judgment on the Blue Oval's hot hatch.

However, he begins the comparison in his latest video review of the former, and asks several questions, important to those in the market for such a vehicle.
