Spied: New Range Rover Ready to Give Birth to Long Wheelbase Version

What looks like an impregnated 2014 Range Rover in these photos is in fact a new, upcoming addition to Land Rover's flagship SUV.

It's the Long-Wheelbase (LWB) model that adds around 150mm (5.9 inches) to the regular Range Rover's already generous 2,922mm (115 inches) wheelbase, pushing the overall length to over 5.15 meters (202.8 inches) and creating a King-Size, lounge like area for the rear passengers.

Is the All-New Range Rover Sport So Good That It Makes the Range Rover Pointless?

The new Range Rover Sport has the same off-road capabilities as the larger Range Rover upon which it is based, while being quicker and more agile on the road. Moreover, it’s more economical too. So, if the Sport is a good all-round SUV, does this mean that buyers will prefer it over the more expensive Range Rover? Read more »

New Range Rover Sport Chosen as Pikes Peak Pace Car [w/Video]

After having gone up the Pikes Peak hillclimb in 12:35.61 and been called the fastest production vehicle to have done so, the excessively-promoted Range Rover Sport is getting even more coverage, as it has just been announced as the official pace car, and “will open the legendary course to strong international entry at this Sunday’s 91st running of the racing venue.” Read more »

Carisma Says it Has Crafted the Most Luxurious Land Rover Defender Interior Ever

You probably remember the Mercedes-Benz Viano that Carisma Auto transformed into a very luxurious van. Now, for its latest conversion, the company chose a car that normally doesn’t have anything that could be described as luxurious – we’re talking about the rugged Land Rover Defender.

As the UK-based aftermarket specialist usually operates, the exterior of the Defender remained untouched – which is why we don’t get to see it in the gallery (either that, or the owner wanted his or her 4x4 to remain anonymous).

Arden Facelifts and Widens 2005-2009 Range Rover Sport

When automakers apply only minor changes to their models, it's a God's gift to tuners as they can offer these parts to existing owners.

In the case of Arden and the first generation of the Range Rover Sport, the German tuning firm has developed a package that brings the appearance of the pre-facelift SUV (built from 2005 to 2009) in line with the changes applied to the 2010MY, and then adds some new aero components and wheels.

EVO Does First Review of All-New 2014 Range Rover Sport

I never really understood the purpose of old Range Rover Sport, with its dash set so high inside the cabin, that they were forced to paint a black line on the lower part of the windscreen to mask it off. I never got why they used Discovery underpinnings, and still called it a Range Rover, despite the fact that anybody who has been in/driven one of those will tell you there is a big difference in the way they feel/make you feel. Showroom Flood Drowns F-Type, Along With Other Jags and Land-Rovers in Germany

Many people in Germany (and Hungary) have been forced to abandon their homes and head for higher ground, due to severe flooding that is ravaging parts of the continent. Around 23,000 people were forced to flee their homes in the German city of Magdeburg, and in Central Europe, a reported 12 people have died ever since the heavy rains started last week.

However, material losses are undoubtedly also mounting, because the water doesn’t care if the debris it flings about in its currents is human or made of metals and plastic...

New Range Rover Sport Sets New Pikes Peak Records for Production Vehicles [w/Video]

One could expect that many series production sports cars would try their luck on Pikes Peak, but not a Range Rover. However, automakers these days use any opportunity they can to promote their new products, and this is exactly what Land Rover has done with the new generation of the Range Rover Sport. Read more »

Hamann Releases New Range Rover Mk4 Mystere Onto the Market

There are many ways to make your fourth generation Range Rover stand out from a sea of luxury SUVs, but if you're not sure how, just ask the tuners over at Hamann Motorsports. Following the world premiere of the German company's Range Rover “MYSTÈRE” at the March 2013, Geneva Auto Salon in Switzerland, Hamann has now made the package available for order.

Naturally, the first thank that catches your eye on the Mystère is the pink tinted chrome body wrap, which Hamann says, is "a color that exhibits nothing more but self-confidence".

Next Land Rover Freelander Reportedly Ditching Nameplate to Join Discovery Family

We have just learnt from Autocar that Land Rover is reportedly ditching the Freelander name for the SUV's replacement, which will become a part of an extended Discovery family. The main reasoning behind this is the array of sub-brands they offer can be viewed as confusing – they are cleaning it up and making it easier for prospective buyers to understand. Read more »

Learn How to Operate an Old Land Rover With This Period Video Guide

The new Range Rover represents the culmination of decades-worth of off-roading experience wrapped up in a raised limousine body and filled with electronic gizmos and leather. That is all good and does genuinely represent progress, but for some, pushing a button is nowhere near as satisfying as pulling a lever and getting that mechanical feeling going – you actually feel like you’re doing something. MT Goes Off-Road in the New Range Rover and Mercedes’ G-Wagen

The 2002 to 2012 Range Rover was such a capable SUV, that one wondered how they could really improve the formula for the all-new generation model, which made its debut in September of 2012, at the Paris motor show. Now that a few months have passed, they are starting to be seen parked up along boulevards of posh neighborhoods all over the world – seeing one is still an event, but as with the old model, it will eventually become commonplace. Spy Shots: Is Land Rover Working on a Hotter Range Rover Sport?

A camouflaged prototype of the new generation 2014 Range Rover Sport roaming outside the Nürburgring track caught the attention of our spy photographers, and all for good reason.

You see, the regular versions of the Range Rover Sport Mk2 are already available for order in a number of countries with delivers set for this fall (i.e. Land Rover UK made an announcement today). On top of that, this particular prototype was wearing a modified front bumper with larger air inlets. There are no other visible differences from the production Range Rover Sport.

Classic Land Rover Defender to Be Made in Sri Lanka as Well

The Land Rover Defender – it's been around so long, its name should not even use capitals any more – it is what it is, a land rover defender, which has been moving itself over land and defending countries for decades now.

Sure it may have evolved considerably from its Series I predecessor of 1948, but it's shape is instantly recognizable. Now, in the wake of a modern replacement, the Defender as we all know it, is being given another home, on the peaceful island of Sri Lanka, just off the southern tip of India.

Range Rover Evoque to be Kept Fresh with Frequent Updates and Get More Spin-Offs

The Range Rover Evoque is a very special kind of vehicle, simply because like the Renault Megane RS, it looks like a concept that somebody allowed onto the public roads. The plush British crossover looks so new and modern, that you'd think the manufacturer would have to tone it down for actual production – for that reason alone, we think the Evoque is a powerful statement of a car to be seen in.
