Hennessey Gives Us Another Video Look at its F-150 Based VelociRaptor SUV

Hennessey is hell-bent to keep the fading American motto "bigger is better" alive with creations like the VelociRaptor, which is a Ford F-150 Raptor super crew-cab pick-up truck dressed up as an 8-seater SUV.

We've already seen the VelicoRaptor, but Hennessey released a new video of the SUV with the somewhat misleading title "Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV in Action" – and we say misleading as there's not really much action and when there is, we hear a music background and not the V8's roar.

For $149,500, Hennessey will Turns the Ford F-150 Raptor into the 8-Seat VelociRaptor SUV

With Hummer gone, it looks like the world badly needed a giant SUV, so the creative minds at Hennessey Performance decided to do something about it. Their proposal is the VelociRaptor SUV, based on the Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck. The full-sized SUV offers seating for up to 8 people and picks up where the Ford Excursion left off (for good reason, some may say).

“We are now very excited to be able to offer the VelociRaptor SUV to those who like the Raptor but want more seats and space”, said Hennessey Performance CEO Don Goldman.

Hennessey-Tuned Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Gets to 60MPH in 3.9 Seconds

A heavy SUV, which has been lowered, stiffened and bestowed with a monster V8 engine is a somewhat pointless exercise, and does not make a great off-roader or sports car. However, enough power will negate any kind of weight in a straight line, and that’s where the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT fitted with the Hennessey HPE650 upgrade kit shines. Read more »

Hennessey Gives the Ford Taurus SHO a Good Power-Kick in the Back

The Ford Taurus SHO is a very unlikely performance car to arouse interest with enthusiasts, because it’s anything but light and sporty, according to the multitude of reviews available online.

Still, its 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine has lots of tuning potential, which has been exploited by Hennessey Performance, which has raised the car’s power output figure from 365 hp to 445 hp, this having a significant impact on the performance.

Watch Hennessey's Venom GT Set New World Top Speed Record at 265.7MPH or 427.6 km/h

There's no stopping John Hennessey and the company the bears his name from shattering one speed record after the other with their Lotus Elise-based, but evidently, hugely modified, Venom GT.

After being established as the world's fastest production car from zero to 300km/h (186.45 mph) by the Guinness World Records (GWR) with an average time of 13.63 seconds in January this year, the Venom GT now holds the record for the world's fastest production vehicle available for public purchase.

Hennessey-Tuned Ford GT Takes Texas Mile Record [w/Video]

Last year, Hennessey Performance took their highly-modified Ford GT out on an empty piece of tarmac, at the Texas Mile, and they managed to push the custom twin-turbo supercar all the way up to 257.7 mph or 412.3 km/h. This year, they've tried again, and with several improvements to the car, the speed achieved was higher, as the GT crossed the mile marker at 267.6 mph (428.1 km/h), rivaling the Bugatti Veyron SS for sheer speed. John Hennessey Talks Us Through the HPE300 Upgrade for the 2013 Ford Focus ST

You may expect that John Hennessey, the automotive mastermind behind Hennessey Performance and the record-breaking Venom GT hypercar, to drive around in one of his more extreme creations, as he really seems to be into big horsepower figures. However, his daily driver, for the last 3,000 miles (4,800 km) at least, has been a front-wheel drive hatchback, albeit a rather quick one – the new 2013Ford Focus ST. Read more »

Hennessey Venom GT World’s Fastest Production Car from 0 to 300km/h – 186MPH

The 1,244-horsepower Hennessey Venom GT has been established as the world's fastest production car from zero to 300km/h (186.45 mph) by the Guinness World Records (GWR).

Under the supervision of a Guinness representative as well as VBox officials, the street legal Venom GT performed two runs made in opposite directions within one hour, which were validated by a VBox 3i GPS-based data logging system, at the Ellington Airport (also used by NASA) southeast of Houston, Texas.

Hennessey Shows us Just How Fast the 1,244hp Venom GT is with New Videos

Shoehorning a 638hp Corvette ZR1-sourced, 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 into a lightweight Lotus Elise is in itself, insane, but choosing to swap the stock supercharger for twin ball bearing turbochargers that push output to 1,244 horsepower takes craziness to a completely different level.

The car featuring this mind-blowing setup is Hennessey Performance's Venom GT and it's as fast as its specifications suggest.

Hennessey's 2013 Camaro ZL1 HPE700 Dyno'd and Track Tested

As fast as the regular Camaro ZL1 may be (actually, it's the fastest and most powerful series-production Camaro ever built), there's one company that believers there's always room for improvement: Hennessey Performance.

The Texas-based tuner offers four different packages for the 580hp Camaro ZL1 named HPE650, HPE700, HPE800 and HPE1000, with the numbers (approximately) representing the output of the car's 6.2-liter supercharged V8.

Hennessey Plans to Inject Some Powerful Venom to 2013 SRT Viper

Leave it to Hennessey Performance to take an already viciously powerful sports car like the brand-new 2013 SRT Viper and tune it to the extreme.

As with any other proposal from Hennessey, it all starts with a heavy tuning of the SRT Viper's 8.4-liter V10 engine, which in stock form, delivers 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels via a 6speed manual gearbox.

Hennessey will offer two performance packages for Chrysler's finest sports car.

Hennessey Says New Cadillac CTS-V VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe is the World's Most Powerful 4-Seater

Not the one to shy away from the insane horsepower wars of our time, Hennessey Performance is lifting the bar for tuners with the presentation of the new 2013 Cadillac VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe based on the two-door version of the CTS-V.

There's a ton of stuff going on under the sheetmetal but the highlight of the tune can be found right behind Cadillac's crest.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Humiliates Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS Roadster

The good ol' tuning folks from Hennessey Performance have just published a new video showing a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 owned by Mario Williams of the Buffalo Bills going against a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster that belongs to a one Mario Mendias of My Fit Foods.

We are not sure if any of the two cars has been tuned by Hennessey or if they are completely stock (we are waiting for a response from the tuner) but the Lamborghini blows the Mercedes in every run.
